Most charging points at petrol stations are installed and operated by the EV network companies. The forecourt owners are paid rents. They find a few isolated cases to justify profiteering.
You'll soon run out of arguments against EVs. Xiaomi just released their YU7. 300,000 sold in the first day. Customers have to wait 51 weeks for delivery. We won't get any in Europe until they finish building their new factory. For about the same money as Tesla model Y, the car comes with free self driving software.Sheesh, can't get a break!![]()
They said that about the VW Buzz three years ago. Three years later, they're selling 2022 registered ones with zero miles at huge discounts. Look on Auto trader. Not 300,000 sold in a day though. They said that about the VW Buzz three years ago. Three years later, they're selling 2022 registered ones with zero miles at huge discounts. Look on Auto trader. There are loads of them.
Well I'm not buying one because I had a very bad experience with a Xiaomi the money security cam, and because it's drag coefficient is higher than a Tesla Model S. Why so high? Why so big and heavy? What's green about that? Flaminio Bertoni wouldn't have given it such a fat nose. Hate the look of modern cars, they all look like giant training shoes on wheels. You'll soon run out of arguments against EVs. Xiaomi just released their YU7. 300,000 sold in the first day. You've no idea how many were actually sold. That's just a press release from the fake media that you read. Not 300,000 sold in a day though.
There is no reason why you shouldn't trust the Chinese media or the US media. The tesla model Y sold well over 2 million units so it does not surprise me that the xiaomi YU7 will outsell the model Y when Xiaomi can produce enough of them. You've no idea how many were actually sold. Do you remember in January 2020 the videos of Chinese people dropping dead in the street - supposedly from covid? Do you remember the stories about Pangolin monkeys shagging chickens to make the virus? That was the Chinese media. There is no reason why you shouldn't trust the Chinese media or the US media. Any news on them using it to clean out the microplastics Mike ?So "green", so "sustainable", so "sunk cost"!
They are going to clean up this pollution out of the ocean, yes?
Cobalt Tuna in lithium salts anyone?
I'm more worried about these plastic eating worms, fungi, bacteria?Any news on them using it to clean out the microplastics Mike ?
You know, that stuff we made from oil, and is currently ravaging the environment.
If only we'd looked towards renewables first, but hey ho, we are where we are.
Except BP who made a big mistake. They bought the largest charging company, Chargemaster and set about installing chargers at all their filling stations. So they bought the installation costs and the poor incomes. Most charging points at petrol stations are installed and operated by the EV network companies. The forecourt owners are paid rents. BP hasn't done well since the Horizon disaster. I still keep their shares though.Except BP who made a big mistake. They bought the largest charging company, Chargemaster and set about installing chargers at all their filling stations. So they bought the installation costs and the poor incomes.
That's going to need some creative accounting to keep the shareholders happy.
.
Of course, this was inevitable. The great majority of EV buyers at this early stage, well over 80%, will have home and/or "at work" chargers, so will do almost all their charging that way. Many are also only charging in the night when the unit cost can be as low as 5 pence."PRA] members are finding charging points take a long time – as long as 8-10 years – to recoup the initial cost associated with them. In fact, in some areas of the country it can cost £1.2 million just to ensure a correct level of power is being delivered.”![]()

I don't blame you, they'll still be selling plenty of car i.c. fuel for over 30 years yet and for many more years for other vehicles.BP hasn't done well since the Horizon disaster. I still keep their shares though.
