some frames a 29er will fit and some it wont on the rear but email andy and see if his frame will take the wheel size you want or not imo he is your best bet if you want one of those.

I have a decathlon aluminium frame bike which I want to convert using a yose power rear hub kit which requires a 10mm axle dropout on the frame.

What shall I do? Is filing safe? I also cannot find any alternate donor bikes with 10mm dropouts..

The Yose kits have a 12mm axle with 10mm flats milled on them. That will fit in a standard bike frame with normal Q/R rear wheel. Very occasionally, you have to file off a bit of paint to get the axle in. The biggest problem is that sometimes they don't go in deep enough, so you have to file the drop-out deeper, which also helps re-centralise the disc if you have a disc brake. Another solution if it's not too bad is to use a torque arm, but only do that if the whole of the axle is in the drop-out, and it's just the torque washer which won't go in.

Q/R front forks normally have 9.5mm drop-outs, so they need filing. I wouldn't advise using a front motor for other reasons.

What do you think is special about your frame why 10mm won't fit?

Grin technologies (they export to the UK) from Canada make a through axle rear hub motor.

Decathlon bike dropouts are designed for 9mm axles. That’s why it’s not fitting (I have the kit and I tried). Maybe I didn’t test properly (as I’m new to this)..

You need to increase the dropout width and depth using second cut files (flat for sides and round for depth).
The depth should be the axle, the height of the dropout tab plus 1mm. You don't want the top of the tab to sit flush with the top of the dropout, it sits just below it.
To keep the file square put plastic spacers (see link) behind the file, one of each dropout. Always use the file in a forward direction, pulling it back will damage the teeth on the file

There are sevearal hub-motor for through-axle 142mm or 148mm on the market, it just a bit more work to find them since they are rare on offer because not many people asking for those. Anyways, I actually don´t get why people want a full-suspension in combination with a hubmotor since this doesn´t make much sense having an additional 3kg motor as unsprung mass which eliminates the advantage of full suspension to nearly zero......

I also use the carbon-frame from "bxt" for my through-axle hubmotor in my hardtail, there was dropout for hubmotor or lets call it standard 10x12 axle packed and dropout for through-axle 148mm in case you wanted mount through-axle. This was a lucky thing because the through-axle motor was to noise for my well-being;) so I replaced this motor with a noiseless Motor which has integratet torqusensor cassette from Lishui/leadeer. Big advantage is, nothing to do with the bottom-bracket anymore plus a much better ridefeeling

Left photo is with dropout for through-axle from Hengtach and right photo is mounted to the bike with dropout for standard axle

My rear QR axle was yanked out once, by the hitch of my Homcom folding bicycle trailer (the trailer + cargo weighed more than my bike and I combined), therefore I can see the advantage of thru axles for towing heavy loads over bumpy terrain. Unless the trailer is hit by a car side on, in which case I might welcome my bike being separated from the trailer.
