Discontinued Battery
You could try contacting Halfords as they stock the coyote connect, another version of your bike. Or go straight to the importer for viking/coyote- Avocet cycles on 0161 727 8508.

Very disappointing start....
Lubricate the chain.

Brand new Haibike, two broken chains in first 35 miles, and other problems, advice needed
Is there a missing link connection on the second chain? I wonder if the bike shop manually fitted a normal link pin and that is what parted.

My bum hurts
I thought all saddles were uncomfortable unless you ride them frequently. I have the same saddle on all my bikes but if I ever go a couple of weeks without a decent ride I know about it.

bring dead battery back to life
I get what you are saying but these lamps ran a full shift with capacity to spare, 8 hours day in and day out year after year. Used and abused yet kept their users safe in conditions I can barely comprehend and all of this was 30 - 40+ years ago and today they can be revived. OP should have a play around, perhaps he only needs to go 2 miles not 99 on a charge, lets encourage him not discourage him .

bring dead battery back to life
My neighbour has an interest in mining lamps, he takes lamps that have not been used since the early 1980s and refills them with electrolite from a car battery. Then over a period of days he charges/discharges them untill they achieve an acceptable use time. I have never seen him use so much as a voltmeter but I can assure you those old lamps have astonishing light when recovered, the "Gaffer" lamps have a wide and high beam feature that make me think they would make a good ebike headlamp. I am sure Gel batterys can't be treated the same but it appears to me Lead Acid batterys are pretty resilient so try a few Youtube ideas, what have you to loose other than the time you already admit you have. Good luck with it .

Wheels
No experience and no tools, I bought a decent spoke wrench although most of the build you use a screwdriver on the back of the nipple. I fashioned a truing station from an old pair of forks for the front and my turbo trainer for the rear.
-
Wheels
Look for some with 36 spokes per wheel, e-bikes need the additional strength and weight isn't an issue. Just over a year ago I bought all the parts and built myself a pair of wheels. Interesting task which I spent about 4 hours per wheel building and truing. You won't save a lot but you will learn slot.

Wheels
Typically a 45mm tyre and 650b wheel package will have the same rolling radius as a 28mm tyre on a 700c wheel package. To allow for the increased dimension of a typical MTB tyre you will need to drop to a 650b wheel, as a 700c (29er) with an MTB tyre will foul the frame if it wasn't designed to accept it. This only works with disc brakes but other than that it should be quite straight forward. You will need a cassette with similar range otherwise you may have to adjust/replace the chain every time you swap wheels. The 650b wheel and tyre package should give a more comfortable ride due to the higher volume tyres.

How much is a Bosch 500w battery worth?
Gubbins told the insurance co the bike went without the battery, it was up to them to arrange collection of battery, keys and documentation within a reasonable time scale and they did not. It is not up to Gubbins to explain the value of a used and unwaranted battery to an insurance company. It is of no use or value to them, hazardous goods with no warranty is an unsaleable item for a corporation. Gubbins could have taken the battery to his local recycling centre and billed the insurance co for his time and expense, or simply charged the insurance company for storage of a hazardous item that belonged to them, calculated on a daily basis untill they sent someone to collect it. As it happens he found someone who needed it and everyone is happy - but you Kuorider!

My 2nd best decision
Yes, but, full mudguards are "AWESOME", which pretty much sums up my original point, .

My 2nd best decision
My cube SUV Hybrid Pro is probably my best cycling decision ever, even though I still ride my conventional bikes whenever the circumstances allow. With a pannier rack on the back the e-Bike is unbeatable by my conventional bikes when loaded up and it means I can do a supermarket run without using the car. All well and good but as spring passed through summer and autumn I find myself in WINTER, all my bikes have been languishing unused due to my reluctance to have a road stripe up my back and a mud splattered face on arrival at my destination. It has only taken me 40 years to realise that full length mudguards are actually "AWESOME", I was twelve when I last pulled them off a bike and have shunned them ever since. How ignorant have I been, how much crap have I had in my face and how often I had to change clothing before I could sit on the sofa over the last 40 years! I got some bargain 60mm Raleigh guards off Ebay for a 26" wheel which fit great on my 650b wheels. I now cycle past Asda, Tesco & Aldi to get to Morrisons for my shopping. The Mudguards have half paid for themselves already due to £5 off a £10 spend at Morrisons.

How much is a Bosch 500w battery worth?
Something you will use multiple times every day as opposed to something you will remember to recharge once in a blue moon? Samsung Gear S3, desirable, tactile and functional or a BOSCH battery sat on a shelf? My offer back in your face, you know you want it :).

Recovering a stolen Bike
Who polices this though, you walk into a bike shop with original receipt of purchase and report it stolen - despite the fact you just sold it for cash to someone? It has to be recorded via the Police, technology will eventually be able to link bike shops to Central Police databases but don't hold your breath. Like HS2 and the Third runway many of us here will never even see it.

How much is a Bosch 500w battery worth?
I think you need to read "Free" as included in purchase price, no such thing as "Free" in the commercial world.

How much is a Bosch 500w battery worth?
That is obviously the most sensible outcome and like you I (probably) don't need two battery's (less than you as at least you can cycle home and swap bikes LOL). I would though like two battery's but my purchasing power values them much lower. GLTS .

How much is a Bosch 500w battery worth?
Talking up the price because you paid too much does not help Phil though, unless of course you are prepared to pay him £500 for his. Stick a bid on his ebay auction and you may get it for £499. How much did you get for your old battery Soundwave, that is probably a better indicator of value.
-
How much is a Bosch 500w battery worth?
SOLD to Soundwave for £450 then... My first thought was "why did he not take the £450?", then of course I realised Ebay would charge about £45 and Paypal about £20 then the offer probably required postage so courier only at circa £40+ subject to distance. Then the big worry about the Ebay/Paypal purchaser opening a dispute!! 20 Hours to go on the auction so time will tell, but if it doesn't sell and you don't decide to keep it I would offer £275 collected, paid in cash with (obviously) no recourse for dispute, no fees, no postage issues and the sweet smell of £notes in your hand. Sounds Harsh? I pay transport costs, I forgo the ability to dispute the sale, you pay no fees and you have the cash in your hand at the point of transaction. I can be there 1 hour after the Ebay auction ends. Unlike you, Phil, I am happy to take a chance on second hand goods when the price is right . I won't be offended by your rejection of my offer so please do not be offended by it, but it is serious and if you think we can strike a deal please PM me.

How much is a Bosch 500w battery worth?
Why not put a price on it and advertise it here? I am sure I am not the only member here who often dreams of having a second battery. Ebay does no one any favours, paypal neither, often the fees make the transaction impractical for vendor & purchaser alike. At the right price I could be tempted out of South Yorkshire into North Yorkshire to collect saving you lots of hassle and fees, I bet I am not the only one. You have to accept though that some people, as you once pointed out to me directly, prefer to not buy second hand and value a warranty & local service above the discounted price.

45 Mile Commute, possible on a eBike?
22.5 miles each way? With a charge in between the bike can do it but can you? Even with a dongle (to up the maximum assisted speed) you are going to be in the saddle for at least 2-3 hours a day and you have to spin the pedalls to get the motor to work (unless you go self build with a hand throttle). Not trying to put you off, infact to me it sounds like a great adventure but if you are not all ready into cycling it may be a tad too far.

Bike theif Car spotters needed
I am really sorry to hear that your bike has been stolen Phil. My Mother in Law was somewhat offended when I put the bike lock on my eBike in her back garden last week even though I explained I was not insured without it. Like you I had to question a hobby last year, I was "buzzed" by four youths in a car whilst out with my camera. It is a Cannon and I have spent many years investing in their L series lens range, but the big white lenses draw too much attention now. I have in the last few weeks just completed the sale of the last one. Not worth getting a knock on the head for! I do hope your insurer pays up, they should of course as that method of theft defeats a bike that has a sold secure gold D lock on it. It certainly is a lesson to me and in future I will stop just D locking the bike and find something to D lock it to.

SDG Rock City - SOLD
Removed from my new bike almost immediately, I just rode it once around the block before swapping it to my preferred saddle model. Saddle has a cutout making it comfortable (see photo of underside). £10.00 + postage (£2.85 with Royal mail) paypal gift. http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/ikolpdog/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-09/IMG_20160920_165019794_zpsm3vchxq8.jpg http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/ikolpdog/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-09/IMG_20160920_165026912_zpsrqs9qndb.jpg http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/ikolpdog/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-09/IMG_20160920_165036777_zpsdkymousf.jpg http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/ikolpdog/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-09/IMG_20160920_165048300_zpsfcehbuyd.jpg

Sondors bike crowdfunding on indiegogo
Met a Sondors original owner today, he did the crowd funding thing two years ago and has had the bike for a year now. Really wishing I took a picture of his bright yellow fat bike, it looked great! With import duty it cost him £500 apparently.

e Bike without battery
Good to know a retailer out there is able to accomodate, unfortunately your website range does not appeal on either price or style for my requirements. I was thinking Fat bike or long travel FS, possibly evern a road bike. I am though attracted to your Charger GT even though it effectively replaces my existing Cube hybrid. Are the mudguards on the Charger GT available for purchase seperately?
