  1. well its either 40% 50% or 70%...or even 100% !!! depending on settings,100% being switched off of course
  2. see link below, same as a kalkhoff Agattu but a lot cheaper, smilar price to Powabyke but far superior Where abouts are you,you may be able to view an Agattu of a forum member ? Technium cycling Products At Wiggle - cycle
  3. that sounds good, 'given a torq' !!! i want somebody to give me a Pro Connect S DD ! :D
  4. yes,i have had that,i think its when you need to drop a gear but i am sure Flecc will advise
  5. you might see me one day, chorley is doable from here, what is your bike ?
  6. nowadays they are available with 5 wheels !!
  7. nice if you put in a wreck and get a pro connect s dual drive out
  8. cheers Teejay i will stick at the 11 tooth, the range is important to me and it seems the increase in cutoff speed is just about right, also there are a few hills around here so i can't afford to loose hill climbing ability.
  9. if you have the 11 tooth sprocket and the 18 tooth hub is that going to give an assist speed of 22mph given the 11 tooth adds about 3mph and the 18 tooth hub about 19 looking at your web page ?...but it will eat the battery !
  10. . you spend all your time on Pedelecs.co.uk . you look at every bike that passes by . when you go shopping with the other half you are always drawn to the bike shops . when you fall out with the wife and she goes into the garage and throws your shoes at the ebike and not directly at you !
  11. if it wasn't for ebikes there would be a lot of people who wouldn't consider a conventional bike because of hills, levels of fitness and ill health. An ebike is a way to get round these problems and in some some cases return to a coventional bike.It is also getting people out of cars for shorter journeys which has to be good
  12. i think generally its ok on the change up although i must admit occasionally i do the 2 sec stop there as well but i don't think its really needed
  13. try an email to info@urbanmover.com not sure whether still in business but worth a try
  14. I think the 7 speed hub is all about stopping pedalling for 2 secs on a down change and listening for the satisfying click of the change !...make sure you dots are aligned by putting in 4th and making adjustment on cable to gearshifter on handlebars
  15. what bike is it ? could be a power on/off or an off road button for a few extra mph
  16. hi thunderblue see link below, delivery took 2 days 50cycles Electric Bikes - Kalkhoff Electric Pedal Cycle Spare Parts
  17. yesterday i joined the 11 tooth sprocket club ! For anybody unsure of the change, its dead easy, remove chain guard (1 bolt),take chain of drive sprocket by releasing chain tensioner,1 pair of circlip pliarsto remove circlip and then reverse the process and thats it..5 minute job. I then went for a 10 mile ride. The first thing i noticed was that before the change my 6th gear was where 7th should be and vice versa (if thats possible) this was now corrected and gears seemed to be in correct order. It was very windy so i spent a lot of the time on medium power. On the incline upto my house i previously achieved 12.5mph on the Powabyke,15mph on the Agattu before the change but i flew up at over 18mph with the new sprocket. I was expecting the first light to go out at 5/6 miles given what people had said on the forum but it atually lasted to 9.5 ! On that basis i think the change was worthwhile but i need to go on a longer run to confirm it
  18. You should enjoy it. The Kalkhoffs are great to ride, lets us know how you get on
  19. is that an 11 tooth sprocket or have you done something else ?
  20. yes correct,, they do,would be nice if they had kalkhoffs as well then there would be the full complement to try.
  21. good news about another e-bike shop opening,,,,,but there is an untapped market further north.....hows about opening one in preston/blackburn...the rent would be a fraction of anything in london....and there is more need in these hills !
  22. the same distances are supplied for the pro connect s and the Agattu..ie 30-50 miles (dependent on variables ) but surely this can't be the case given the pro connect s extra speed ?. Would it not be the case that the pro connect s is likely to achieve 25 miles tops like an adapted Agattu (11 tooth sprocket) ?
  23. see link below, ebikes direct have them at £295 PowaByke Battery « Electric Bike Batteries - eBikes Direct
  24. my Powabyke had no problems but the Agattu had gear adjustment problems after about 150 miles, usually easy to sort out via adjustment on the gear shifter but mine was slightly different but is now ok.
  25. i haven't seen any around here recently but i kid in clitheroe shouted corrrrrr thats an electric bike !! I have also heard other people mention it when i have passed them so i think a lot more people are aware of them now
