June 15, 20169 yr E-Bikeshop.co.uk Has anyone had any experience in buying from this dealer as I am having quite a few problems with him.
June 15, 20169 yr Author I would prefer not to say at this stage I hope it will be resolved but if not I will post a review with full details.
June 15, 20169 yr just post the problem you are having. this is what the forum is for and martin does not sponsor the forum anyway.
June 16, 20169 yr Author I would first like to give E-Bikesshop.Co.UK a chance to do the honorable thing if they don't then that is another matter. Watch this space

June 16, 20169 yr Author Ok. What difficulties or defects have you experienced with your bike, if any at all, so far? Lets say its a matter of ethics.
June 16, 20169 yr Ones man's ethics are another's extremism Not saying that's the case here as we have no info
June 16, 20169 yr Lets say its a matter of ethics. I hope it's not a matter of the correct use of the apostrophe. Two fails in a seven word sentence is good going.
June 16, 20169 yr Bought a Haibike from them a few years ago. Good as gold, even emailed Martin on a Sunday when I had a tiny problem and got an email back the same day. Can't speak for anyone else but I'd buy another from them.
June 17, 20169 yr When I investigated about buying my bike although the site and services are remarkable what put me off is the fact that unless you buy from the shop there is no support whatsoever. Some may think that this is right and correct but in my mind as a bike seller and service shop one should be able to provide services to anyone at a price. Moreover the fact that one may buy a used bike originally bought from the shop and then denied any support because of change of ownership baffles me even more!!! It's a free world and everyone has their rights to run their shop however they want, but I wasn't looking into entering a club, but just buying a bike and have some support over it. In addition it annoys me that several aftermarket products will not be sold to non buyers of bikes from their shop! I eventually bought 2 bikes elsewhere and managed to get the support and warranty required just by making the proof of receipt and or the manual stamped. That's my experience. I hope you get things sorted

I hope you get things sorted I was also put off from arranging a test drive with Martin at ebikeshop.com, as I didn't like the fact that you had to purchase a bike from him to be able to purchase any accessories or have any bike serviced by him. I wanted to buy an e-Bike, not join a religious cult......... I live 45-60min drive from them, but Martin wasn't prepared to offer any discount or discuss price before test ride, so I cancelled test ride, and that's when he got stroppy as I cancelled appointment. He should have at least offered a small discount to cover my fuel costs/time, then there would be something in it for him & me. It seems he wants everything his way, which is very brave these days of fierce competition. I had heard his pre-appointment test rides are very hard sell, and not many people leave without leaving a deposit, so I'm glad I didn't go for test ride. I purchased a bike from a non-specialist e-bike store, and so far I have been very pleased with the customer service and support.

I'm glad I'm not the only one he was like that to, As he was the same with me when i cancelled a appointment with him. Edited June 17, 20169 yr by dinger19
June 17, 20169 yr Hi I got my bike from Martin on Saturday I did not get any hard sell from him and I think the setup he has got there is well smart, I had to drive about 117 miles to get there. I only went there to test ride the lapierre and I had to go there cuss he is the only dealer in the uk with the yamaha drive on a lapierre. If I was after a hailbike I'd have gone to my local dealer Steve
June 17, 20169 yr If one shop is the only dealer for a specific make then you are stuck with their likes and dislikes.
June 17, 20169 yr https://www.adrenalinatv.co.uk appear have a good stock of Haibike spares and you don't need to be a member of a "buy a bike from me or else club"
June 17, 20169 yr thats where i get my parts from now and if not on there page can get any haibike part and price match martin at ebike shop. also had free postage with the bolt i needed for my bike. my bike is also from ebike shop and has it on the down tube but he will not even sell me any parts for it and as the rrp of my bike was £5500 quid he just takes the p. my bike was 2nd hand with just 160 miles on it when i had it with all receipts paper work ect and he was still not interested as never bought the bike dir from him.
June 17, 20169 yr Another vote for Adrenalinatv here. Always very helpfull. They must be loving all this? I'm so baffled by e shops business attitude?
June 17, 20169 yr Bookmarked! Just as a comparison, the Greek distributor which I asked about warranty for both bikes told me all I needed to have is the warranty page stamped and written and they will honor anything that may go wrong
June 18, 20169 yr Author In this day and age of internet selling dealers have to give good and Honest Customer service. Those who don't cannot expect to stay in business for very long.
