Battery testing to the max :)

Very scientific! Use a sharp perforating object on lipo and not on the other batteries in the test. Next time I ride my bike I'm going to drive nails through my battery before setting out to make it safe...

But the others would have behaved just the same. The penitating object made little difference to the results. The energy density and availability is so low in comparison.

What would the lipos have done without the penetrating object? You can't compare reactions if you use different methods to evaluate them.

There were no Li-ion batteries "tested", they would have behaved like the lipos.

The video is a bit of fun, lighten up man :p

I wish I could but there is VERY bad music being piped into the street speakers just below my windows all day long and it has been going on for weeks... :( I have been drinking champagne for three days non stop and then you put up this "lipo is dangerous if crushed in a press" video and you want me to chill?

I just want to go out and shoot some 18650s just to ease the pain

At the end of the day lipo's are safe if managed and cared for properly by sensible users, the only reason he used a nut to penetrate the lipo's was because he new they would catch fire so makes the video exciting.
