Does it matter that the full sus bike says it's only for light or medium terrain?

not really as it depends how hard you want to ride it but whats on there now should be fine it could be better like fox ect but nothing is indestructible.

my bike has broken me more than i have broken it lol.DSC_0112_01.thumb.JPG.10de21cd9a14309218427ffa053ed9a8.JPG

broken ass ;)

on spec and price the trek would take it but the haibike wins it on looks and more travel that i could upgrade to better parts.

tho the only stock parts now on my bike are the frame motor suspension wheels and brakes.

the bosch is more quiet than Yamaha last time i looked but spec and price wise and waight there pretty much the same other than looks.

the bosch system has gear change sensors so cuts power for less aggressive gear changes and scans 1000 times a second so less wear on the drive train compared to the Yamaha system.

Nice.i keep hearing the Yamaha has more torque. I'll try to test ride the bosch Trek bike tomorrow

The Powerfly 5 would be fine for riding you plan to do ie exploring forest tracks and forest roads. For MTB park riding you would want to go up a level or two in spec.

One thing to try is bike with dropper seat, you will need to do an hour or 2 of riding to get hang of it. They were designed for MTBing when you need to lower seat for steep descents to lower center of gravity. They a also awesome for day to day road riding, drop seat when stopped and put both feet flat on ground, also nice when going downhill on road. Once you've had one there is no going back.

Its no problem to fit one to Powerfly5 but check out cost as it may not cost much more for bike with dropper seat that will have higher spec, suspension, brakes and gears.

So... Went to ebikesdirect.co.uk to try out the haibike sduro hardseven 7.0. I rung them before I left, he said the bike is ready here waiting for you. I got there and he couldn't even find it. He was trying to sell me other bikes, he had no clue about any specs or anything. Total shambles of a company and was a 3hr round trip to get there. I just drove off in the end.

I'm still tempted by the Trek but from my research I think I'd prefer the Yamaha motor over the Bosch.

I've been to two bike shops now and both have been totally clueless, you'd think they would send their staff on training courses.

Haibike SDURO HardSeven 7.0 2017

well it has the pw motor so down 10% on bosch cx and pwx that is 120rpm at the cranks.

see here.

prob only make a difference if you dongle it tho and id say the fork is usable but id look to upgrade it.

the new 2019 bikes will start to pop out in October November if you can wait and get a better deal on a 2018 bike.

i sell weed but thats about it :D

Have you tried both the Bosch cx and Yamaha PW? I hear the Bosch takes a second to kick in which I wouldn't like. The Yamaha is instant as soon as you touch the pedal

Is the spec considerably better on the one I just posted too?

spec there about the same bar the motors and yes the bosch does take a half rotation to kick in but the bosch system is more easy on the drive chain so less wear than the yamaha.

i got 3000 miles + on my old 11spd cassette b4 i went 12spd eagle.

Hopefully I get to try both then and I'll just get whatever I prefer. I don't think I'll do that many miles
