June 18, 20187 yr At the moment 27.5" wheels have a relatively limited choice of tyres compared to 26" & 29". It's my main gripe about my Oxygen. Where have you been looking Crc for example have 26" 158 tyres 27.5" 166 tyres 29" 120 tyres I would say thats more than enough choice in any size .
June 18, 20187 yr Author Is that a Bosch? Looks fun. I see the price of those dongles though. Like £120 for a bit of wire? Or am I missing something? Lol
June 18, 20187 yr James Make sure what ever bike you buy you at least ride. The frame fit is more important than motor type, whether its, yamaha, shimano, bosch or brose, while power deliveries and user interface maybe slightly different you won't be disappointed with any of them.. On the other hand there is no getting use to a frame that doesn't work for you. You don't need to ride exact model as you can order different spec, frames normally stay same across range, component levels change e.g test ride bikeX 3.0 and order 6.0. An eMTB is very expensive investment, pays to take some time and get right. Have you tried both the Bosch cx and Yamaha PW? I hear the Bosch takes a second to kick in which I wouldn't like. The Yamaha is instant as soon as you touch the pedal Is the spec considerably better on the one I just posted too?
June 18, 20187 yr its my bike thats my u tube page dongles remove the speed limit but yes they are a rip off. its a basic electromagnet

I definitely need a go first. I rang them a while ago and it was a very hard sell As for knowing your size , how do they know your dimensions were all different as its not all about your height alone Also personally i dont like the fact its always "we only sell to our customers and no one else" as far as spares are concerned i feel thats bully tactics to get you to purchase off them and them alone and stuff everyone else Maybe thats just me thou

Really seemed like they just wanted my money and couldn't really care less what they sell me. I've had dealings with three bike shops now and wouldn't recommend any of them. Off to try the fourth tomorrow. Hopefully he knows what he's on about.
June 18, 20187 yr do not buy it from ebike shop unless you are dam sure it is the right size for you as if you open the box and sit on it and want to return it they will only give you 60% back one member bought one and done that and then took months to sort it out and only got the rest back because they bought it on a credit card. it was a while ago but check there terms and conditions first. ebike shop only care about money but they will honer th warranty if a dongle is fitted or any other problems. and yes prob about 3 quids worth of parts.

June 18, 20187 yr Please note that if you wish to exercise your right to return goods under these provisions items must be NEW and UNUSED in order to receive a full refund. The retail sales value of a used item is generally 60% of the new and unused value. THIS APPLIES EVEN IF A BIKE HAS BEEN RIDDEN ONLY ONCE. Please therefore ensure that the item has not been used at all unless you are likely to receive only 60% of what you paid for it when new. Please USE A BOX and proper packing materials. Items damaged due to careless packaging will not be refunded. Sales of items specially ordered, including specially ordered sizes, or customised to customers requirements are final & may not be returned. https://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/Terms-and-Returns-Information
June 18, 20187 yr Author Oh no, now what about the giant? Uses the pw-x motor and good price. But not sure what weight it takes https://www.giant-bicycles.com/gb/bikes-dirt-eplus-electric-mountain-bike-2018 Edited June 18, 20187 yr by Jamie82

This is called distance selling. If you don’t follow the rules you could be made to provide the goods or services as agreed, pay compensation or be given an unlimited fine or a prison sentence. "You could be made to provide the goods or services as agreed" Surely that means supplying the right size bike for the end user and not hammering 40% out of them especially when you as the seller guarantee the fit of the frame.
June 18, 20187 yr any bike in this price range will be ok with ur waight with giant it is there own batts and lcd so only there stuff will work with it where as other Yamaha motors and parts are standard thus less hassle if you say brake the display in a crash. dongles are also a pita and limited options and about 140 quid depending on motor.

But not sure what weight it takes https://www.giant-bicycles.com/gb/dirt-eplus-1-pro-electric-mountain-bike-2018 Im in the market for an ebike and this was on my short list I went to look at one but for me the horizontal top tube length was a bit short in the seat tube length i wanted for standover height It rode we'll enough just felt a little cramped in the cock pit If anything i found it a bit to eager on the up take on power delivery and felt compared to the bosch it could be a bit aggressive in an off-road scenario on a slippery slope for example .
June 18, 20187 yr Author http://www.giant-chelmsford.co.uk/gb/dirt-eplus-2-pro-electric-mountain-bike-2018 This is in stock at my local dealer. Can I be a pita and ask what's better about it than the other giant one I linked to?

You linked to the +1 first and the +2 second +1 is the higher spec bike its components only nothing frame or motor wise
