ES looks filled with speed freak nutjobs with death wishes. I prefer to reach my destination in two pieces at most.

Well I’m too old to go fast lol. Just short trips for me

Yep there are quite a few oddballs on there, and some pretty crap looking bikes as well for 40mph. I do wonder if the land for the so called free is because they have little between there ears in the way of any common.

I believe they have a lot of problems with bots, and do their best to keep them out. They've probably temporarily blocked your IP address - you can keep trying using a new email address and another network connection. Or just try in a week or so.

I will just leave it for now as I don't think ATM I need them. as I have now ordered a new controller from Erider, not cheap either, But I have checked everything else done voltage tests thanks to Nealh help. so cant think what else it can be why wheel wont turn. it has been running, But had to remove old throttle as was faulty, I have never seen so many joins in the lead. I do personally think it is the controller. as I was driving along one day when all of a sudden speed dropped. and the wheel wouldn't turn after twisting the throttle grip, But if I opened throttle fully, then moved back wheel all was fine. but it should also go after opening throttle. so fingers crossed it is the controller. as Ive also checked wiring to back wheel from controller

If you don't mind my asking, how much was the new controller?

Well like I said not cheap. £75 plus £10 P&P = £85

Hey that's not bad, I was expecting £160-£200. Not bad at all.

I keep a spare controller handy for my BBS01b (about the same price-ish). If Erider look like they're about to go bust or stop producing controllers at some point in the future, might be a good idea to buy another? It's far less likely that third party manufacturers will make Erider controllers IMHO... so many Bafang motors on the roads cannot be ignored.

Well no way will I be buying a spare controller for this moped. if anything I will buy some dynamite and blow the bloody thing up LOL, what Its cost me. New battery £171 front back brakes £85 controller £85 new front headlamp glass £25 = £366 plus what I paid for moped £350 = £716 I could have bought a new one. mind you knock off brakes £170 as they wasn't really that bad just needed adjusting more so really its £196 + £350 = £546 Oh and don't worry the seller never got away that easy. as I stole his RING video doorbell, now he cant say he has seen me on Video at his door. But what can you do if person don't open his door, cant go bashing it down. where would that get me. I just pray and hope it is the controller, as like I said with Nealh brilliant help on electrics all was fine. funny really it was running before I removed throttle. which had more joins in the wire than I have ever seen obviously a cowboy who fitted it. also same with the wrong battery. also I don't know what or who moped belonged to. but someone has fitted another lead from back wheel just 3 wires in lead blue, brown, & green/yellow. But the end was taped up and stuck down with duck tape behind controller. so don't make sense what that was for. the cable which goes to back wheel is 3 thick wires, and 5 thin wires. but this other cable has been added but not connected to anything.

like people keep telling me the seller see me coming. Well we all make mistakes as "The Hedgehog said to the Wire Brush" :D

As I have said more then once the 8 motor wire are 3 phase and 5 motor halls.

The bodged attempt of the added twin and earth type wire looks like some has either tried and failed to take a feed off the rear wheel or maybe tried to add a throttle direct to it, in both cases there effort would have been fruitless as nothing can happen.

A wired throttle must send a signal to the controller then the signal tells the motor to work.

Well Yes like you have said and also Erider said the same 8 wires go to back wheel, 5 thin and 3 thick. I am going to cut that other wire off, as like I said the end was taped under back seat near controller so wasn't even attached to anything. I forgot to mention and I have also e-mailed Erider, but just below seat at front there is a 3 pin kettle type plug IEC but what's it for as its connected to battery lead too. it cant be a charging point as that's a jack plug

btw Nealh is this that 8 wire lead what goes to back wheel

At Last I am registered woohooo :p

It is a motor phase /hall cable , it isn't a conventional push fit/block type as it is for higher power bikes with ring fixings for the phases to be screwed down.

It looks same cable what I have on moped what runs to back wheel and the 3 phase wires have rings on the ends

Yes, it is for long rides so you can plug your kettle in :p .

Oh I thought you plug a heater in it to place on your seat :D

i think you will be better of getting this thing working and get rid of it asap and hope you can brake even.

if it was a bosch bike with a dead batt a new one is £700

A 30ah battery for £171?!? Please do report back on how this battery performs.

Thank you for this collection of words nealh, it continues to brighten up my day. Keeps making me laugh :D. If you uploaded a recording of you saying such, I'd put it on my mp3 player to interject randomly between music.

Well actually it was £146 but they charged me £25 shipping, but now I see its free shipping well not really as it seems they have put up price so shipping is included in price. The 48V 30Ah should go about 75 miles it took bloody 9 weeks to arrive in UK
