It is a DJ 70xx series connector there are many 100's of designations.

That one looks like a six terminal block used for sense wire connectors which is a DJ7061- 2.8- 21 used widely for generic China ebike controllers. The 2.8 is the pin pitch.

One can buy differing terminal blocks for differing wire counts DJ7021 = 2 wires , DJ 7031 = 3 wires etc, etc. The last part of the designation refers to the pitch and connection type, some cam be pin some can be spade type.

billyboya, have you been sending PMs to nealh too? I think it's better for you, to post your questions regarding your moped on the open furum instead of sending messages to me and nealh, in case someone who knows about how to repair your particular type of moped happens by IMHO, because then your questions will also show up on Google, whereas PM messages won't.

I just assumed Nealh was helping in a pm. as he was testing my electric moped telling me to do several voltage tests etc. I learnt so much from him. the only reason why I kept pm Nealh as I just assumed I was annoying people in forums. all I need to know now is can anyone advise me what controller to buy for my moped. as Im at the end of my tether now with this dam moped. spent so much getting it going. But cannot just dump it after spending over £170 on new battery, front and back brakes £85, and now it looks as if I am gonna have to buy a new controller. I even bought a cheap thumb throttle. But still it wont run. it has been running. its a Erider model 15

Apologies Nealh if I have annoyed you

I know this isn't relevant to my post but I lost my dear sister age 71 this Jan to covid, and I just got this electric moped to cheer me up but obviously got done down on it.

Why not buy a secondhand bike and a conversion kit? You've got a new battery (which you might or might not be able to use in a conversion), you could resell the brake pedals etc. Personally I'd sell the moped for parts on ebay (as spare parts), and convert a bike using a kit which you'd much more likely be able to repair at home, and for which there is much advice and plentiful spare parts. I'd avoid spending any more money on the moped, unles you know for certain what the problem is. But it's your money, time and choice.

I have an old electric bike, which thanks to this web site they advised me on how to change battery from LA to Lithium, and bike has been going now for 5 years

I dont want a bike and convert it. Also the battery for this Moped is a 48V 30Ah Like I said Nealh has been advising me via pm how to do several tests on moped, and the only thing it can now be is the controller. I have e-mailed Erider for price of a new controller. as it can only be that now. as that's what sends info to back wheel to make it move. I cant also see the motor has gone as its been running fine.

I still cannot find on ebay what Nealh said above about those DJ 70xx series connectors anyone knows where I can get them

Can anyone help on those plugs I posted above as I can’t find any on eBay what Nealh mentioned

Aliexpress might be the best option or try Banggood.

If you want the dj7061 then I think greenbikekit have them.

 • Author

ok will check out other. Places but no point now if moped isn’t running

Hi what about my controller as you was saying about that too. I’m stuck as that’s only thing I can think what’s faulty now.

One needs a controller that doesn't needs a display so likely rules out generic ebike stuff.

One could try a KT controller a 12mosfet 30a model with you 3 wire thumb throttle, if one buys the block connector type and not waterproof type. The Block connector type have a plug in jst which shorts the wires together to omit the use of a display.

Nealh I do appreciate your help its very much appreciated. But I don't have a clue what to do regarding choosing a new controller. you say it don't need a display. IM confused can you explain and also if its ok send me some links to what I need. or should I just get a replacement controller from Erider. which I guess would be very expensive. I have emailed them to ask a price. I have already bought a 3 wire thumb throttle. no display and no key, just a basic cheap one.

I forgot to mention but would there be a fuse inside the controller which has maybe blown

The Erider controller will need their throttle as well.

A lot of controllers don't have the alarm mode so won't be of use to you.

The KT's certainly don't so you would have to forget about the alarm, no guarantee one would work but probability is it should.

It isn't known what type of signal the erider controller needs to see for a throttle because you have broken the erider one, the two generic ebike one you have tried don't work so the signal to the controller isn't correct or recognised.

It is an escooter so needs a more dedicated forum for them some of us or we have tried our best to help but with the electronic/controller side the help hasn't come to any fruition. We helped with the battery and sorted that out

Hi firstly I'm not bothered about an alarm. the grip throttle on the moped wasn't Eriders one anyway. as they said. they didn't recognise it. regarding the 2 generic ebike ones. one was a grip one from my electric bike before I fitted a thumb one to electric bike. the other is a cheap thumb throttle with 3 wires. same colours as on controller. red, green, and black. I bought on ebay. so you think my best option to get a replacement controller. for this model 15 and ask them what type of Thumb throttle can be used with there controller

I wish there was a electric moped forum, but I cant seem to find any.

Thanks guerney But it seems that's just for electric scooters not electric mopeds. no one seems to want to know about Electric Mopeds. and as I have come this far with fixing moped. it can only be the controller now. Yes I was done down on the bloody thing. But it would be ages if I tried to sell all the parts now. I have been told several times, "The seller see you coming" But we all make mistakes "As the hedgehog said to the wire brush" I would have thought as places sell Electric Scooters isnt that same as Electric Mopeds well same type of controllers I expect. But I have rang over 20 places and all you get is they only do electric scooters

I have been trying to register on that forum but it wants a reply to this question what do I type as I cant register if not

Nealh would you know or anyone here how to work out that registration

First letter of the third word (first) is f, so upper case to 'F'

First letter of the fourth (letters) is l, so upper case to 'L'

So type 'FL'

Oh I can see where I was going wrong I thought the sentence started after the word UPPERCASE

I bet there are a lot more emoped tech informed people on ES.

In the most part all of the ES bike are mopeds, quite a lot are high wattage and upwards of 60v's. Mostly all twist and go and 40mph capable.

ES looks filled with speed freak nutjobs with death wishes. I prefer to reach my destination in two pieces at most.
