December 15, 201015 yr Now your talking! and you beat me to it Flecc! A superb machine, and I tried one twice this summer (briefly but it was enough) But colour all wrong it has to be black! http://i51.tinypic.com/4rrw2s.jpg Go on Eddieo, treat yourself it's Christmas:D J:) hn
December 16, 201015 yr Thanks for your post Old Timer. Are you voting for the Oxygen or the Alien Aurora:confused: J:) hn Aurora thank you;)
December 17, 201015 yr In that case, I must vote for the Oxygen. My daily commute is on a very busy (and hilly) A-road in the country and since the clocks have changed I'm ashamed to say I'm too scared to attempt the journey. But I've still racked up 2000 miles since I bought it in August and I can't fault it.
December 17, 201015 yr Go on Eddieo, treat yourself it's Christmas:D J:) hn I may well do, but if I do it will be in the summer on way to Croatia via Switzerland But may well go for a Kalkhoff because of local support.....
December 18, 201015 yr E-Bike: Ezee Forza Kit Bike: Ezee Powered TW Bents Recumbent Trike J:) hn
December 23, 201015 yr BH E-motion Sport Max + Hi all, I'm going to vote for the BH E-motion Sport Max + A great looking and performing ebike. I'll go with Aldby and also vote for the eZee Powered TW Bents Recumbent Trike - a very tidy job indeed! http://www.onbike.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/k/e/ke86-87-800/onbike.co.uk-E-motion-Sport-Max-+-Electric-Bike-120-31.jpg Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all Pedelecers! May 2011 bring lots of electric bike rides Edited December 24, 201015 yr by Phil [OnBike]
December 25, 201015 yr A very Merry Christmas to all readers;) Unfortunately, voting is disappointingly low compared to this time last year. This prompts me to ask if there is really any point in this poll? Is it just apathy, too difficult to make a choice or is there another reason:confused: Please discuss. If you haven't ridden many or any e-bikes. You could base your decision on articles you have read or other peoples experiences perhaps. Could I just ask voters to state at the end of a post: NEW BIKE ******* KIT BIKE ******* This will make it easier to add the total when the poll closes. Thanks J:) hn
December 25, 201015 yr Could the weather possibly have anything to do with it? Riding any sort of bike under these conditions requires someone of sterner stuff than I - I wouldn't be surprised if the retailers aren't feeling the pinch with a vengeance at the moment. Rog.
December 25, 201015 yr Hi Rog, I am also not cycling in this weather and I would have thought that this time of year would be one of reflection when people are spending more time at their computers than out on their bikes J:) hn
December 25, 201015 yr Well my vote goes to the Kalkhoff Sahel Pro disc. Why? well I've just bought one, to be delivered in January. I took advantage of 50cycles sale and also wanted to beat the VAT thing. I took one for a test ride, it was bitterly cold with plenty of ice and slush around, so hardly the best day, but I was very impressed with the bike. In fairness I have only test ridden a few bikes and this was the first with the Panasonic drive but it suited me and my style of riding. Blackrat
December 26, 201015 yr I'll stick with the Pro Connect S - it was still available at the start of the year, and it still does the job admirably, apart from a total failure to keep my head warm in this weather! Kit - don't know enough about them. Merry Boxing Day to all.
December 26, 201015 yr Cyclamatic Power Plus. No more reliable or less reliable than most of the electric bikes people own. Cut's the mustard across the rough stuff and believe me i've tried all sorts of terrain. Works very well in torrential rain. Great price and parts can be upgraded / replaced for reasonable cost too. Above all, it looks very modern and many riders have commented on how good it looks. Hope it's here to stay NEW BIKE: Cyclamatic Power Plus Edited December 26, 201015 yr by Fordulike
December 26, 201015 yr Stealth Electric Bikes | Electric mountain bike| Springvale VIC this gets my vote for this year for ebike. For kit I'd probably go with bionx. Edited December 26, 201015 yr by CheKmx
December 26, 201015 yr Stealth Electric Bikes | Electric mountain bike| Springvale VIC this gets my vote for this year for ebike. For kit I'd probably go with bionx. This 250 EXC-F - Offroad Competition EXC - Models - Models & Accessories - KTM.com - Ready to Race is very similar but has better range and battery life than the stealth electric mountain bike.
December 26, 201015 yr But can you pedal it tilson? I maybe confused but it looks like petrol bike. Edited December 26, 201015 yr by CheKmx
December 26, 201015 yr But can you pedal it tilson? I maybe confused but it looks like petrol bike. I doubt if you can pedal it. It's a 250cc petrol engined moto bike. I find these high powered ebikes with styling and performance similar to motorbikes pointless. If the idea is to emulate a motor bike in this way, why not do the job properly and buy a motorbike? They do the, "motorbike stuff" so much better.
December 26, 201015 yr Fair enough but it looks like fun and well designed to me and it's an ebike so it gets my vote this year.
December 27, 201015 yr I'm voting for the Proconnect S again. The bike has not been fault free but neither has the competitors bikes I have read about. My Proconnect S has not had a fault which prevented me from cycling and 50 Cycles has supplied new part under warranty so I don't have too much to complain about.
December 27, 201015 yr I'm voting for my Smarta LX8. It's not going to get prizes for speed, looks or coolness, but since I bought it in April it has given me a tremendous amount of pleasure. I hadn't ridden a bike for 30 years. I now make most journeys by bike. It regularly does Gloucester to Tewkesbury and back. The Smarta has done over 1400 miles without major problems, service from the Electric Transport Shop had been good. Yes, I could buy a better bike. I have tried and enjoyed Wispers and Emotions, and i have an Urban Mover (thanks to UM Cheltenham for their good service too) folder as a `car bike', but for an everyday transport the Smarta takes some beating. Happy New Year to all Bill
December 27, 201015 yr Best bike 2010 We're voting for our Juicy bikes - we have two of them so is that two votes? Elegant, attention attracting, reliable and wonderful after-sales service. Couldn't ask for more even at twice the price! Go, Bob, go!
December 28, 201015 yr New Bike of the Year 2010 - Ezee Sprint GTS XR Predictably I`m voting for the bike I bought in February 2010 and have since ridden around 2800 miles on. Ezee Sprint GTS XR Very Powerful Hub Motor Dual Batteries in parralel giving 22Ah and high peak performance Excellent acceleration and hill climbing Range over 80 miles, 100 may be possible, never actually tried. Nexus 7 hub gears give plenty of options from 5 mph to 30 mph Happy to pedal the first 8 - 10 miles without any assist - no noticeable drag from motor. Front disc stops on a button Very good wired in lighting Marathon Plus tyres fitted as standard Large screen cycle computer with speed, distance, battery load and capacity Its even good looking - has been described as a "Germanic Beast" by work colleagues seeing it in the cycle shed! Mods: Dial assist replaced throttle for ease of use over long distances Ergon grips with large grip ends added for further hand options Additional lights (Exposure Maxx D and Blackspear Mars 4) Handlebar switch for Maxx D to enable light to be dipped Rear view mirror below handlebars Peli box fitted to rear carrier with repair kit & first aid Discrete switch enables higher speeds if required (assist to 20 / 22mph) It does everything I wanted The guys at OnBike were extremely helpful while I agonised over my choices and have been supportive on the rare occasions I have contacted them since. So far 2 punctures, original chain, brake pads, tyres - quick & simple regular servicing. Quite Simply - Bike of the year!!!! Bob_about Pic Here
December 28, 201015 yr My bike - great value I'm voting for my bike - I love it! At £800 for the ex-demo model it has to be the bargain of the year. I commute 10 miles daily and wouldn't change iot for anything. I suppose it is an Agattu in disguise, so add my vote to the Kalkhoff Aggatu alias raliegh Dover alias technium privilige And a happy and healthy New Year to you all:)

I also bought a new Technium from Wiggle. The battery alone would have cost £400 and the almost identical Agattu would have cost nearly double:cool: J:) hn
