To Kit Or To Woosh?

The sport has no throttle and I intend to use throttle only mode sometimes

The Sport CD has a throttle!
Been toying with the idea of buying one of these myself. It's got a nice combination of features I'm looking for, at a great price.
No, I'm not an employee at Woosh bikes, but if they would like to give me a free bike for the plug

Doesn't it depend on how fast you're trying to get there?

I remember when lots of people rode bikes to work, and even came on them to read the meter. The district nurse rode one, as did the postman and many others. They were big sit up and beg bikes with no gears or three speed Sturmey Archer at best, and people used to arrive smelling as sweet as when they started off for the most part. They just went fairly slowly and pushed them uphill.

I'd say about 10–15mph* and then a pedelec should up it nearer or above 15mph.

*All depending on bike type, tires, pressures, prevailing wind, hills, terrain (urban / rural) traffic light timings, traffic etc...

It could be anything from 12mph to 30mph. It depends on the design of the motor. Every motor is different.

So a bike restricted to 15.5 mph will only do 12 mph when unrestricted

Are you still talking about an approximate average speed or max powered speed?

My motorbike has a top speed of 156mph doesn't mean I average that

Top speed of the big bear derestricted, average will depend on traffic lights etc. I see i5s about 22mph, at that speed it wpuld take 20 mins off my commute. Worth the 600£ more than a pedal bike? I think so...

I hadn't realised they where that fast, you must be a very strong rider and very fit not to sweat and ride at just over 22 mph.

I'm not being sarcastic. Just genuinely amazed at the speed and ease of averaging over 22 mph.

Ive got 7 miles straight roads, 2 traffic lights, then ive got city roads fpr about 5 miles, ill be doing no less than 20mph on a pedelec lol then the 5 miles will probably average at 15, as motor would.be used

At first I thought you'd already done the journey at that speed? I guess that's not actually the case?

I would imagine you'll need to gear it up a fair bit to achieve your goal.

Exactly. Just because the law allows 15 mph, doesn't mean that a bike can do it. I have two that max out at 12 mph.

Average 20mph+ and arrive sweat free to me equals 'moped'.

Even if you can manage it, hammering through London traffic at that speed on a bicycle increases the chances of an accident a great deal.

If you can't beat 'em - and I don't think you can in this instance - it may be better to join them.

Thank you. I was wondering, would I need to set up the LCD via settings before use or is it a plug and play kind of device?
