Electric bike 250w road legal with 120km battery on one charge

Is this ELECTRIC BIKE 250W ROAD LEGAL WITH 120KM BATTERY ON ONE CHARGE | eBay possible? I know batteries have improved & the vendor has applied the usual weight and conditions get out clause but I always thought 20 miles was 'pushing it'.

    BATTERY BARGAINs OR WHAT....?

Has anyone actually bought one of the ebay offerings mentioned in the OP? I'm after a spare/extra & it would be more convenient to purchase from UK timewise.

    cyclamatic folder any good?

A friend of our has one and it's great. We have a couple of Pro-Rider Voyager folders and IMHO they're even better, giving a longer range. However there was a slight weight difference between riders. The bike when folded weighed in at 23k & there's room for 2 bikes + dog in the boot of a Scenic.

Lidl will be flogging their bike-related offers again on 22-08-2011

I've got one of the inflatable saddles & it's very good, needs a pump up every ride but you just 'squeeze' the back no problem.

    Walking stick holder

Thanks everyone the Tube-to-Stick is the solution & I've ordered 1 via eBay. I use a tube & clips on the RSW but resemble a jousting knight sans armour & horse, it's ok around our very rural lanes but not really in public.

    Walking stick holder

This may seem a rather odd question but I'm searching for a lightweight walking-stick holder to attach to my new folder. I need a stick to walk and the usual stick holders used on mobility scooters wheelchairs etc are too heavy. I know that good lightweight stick-holders can be quite easily...

    Pro Rider E-Wayfarer

I have good experiences of this company having used their wheelchairs and disability scooter for some years. Being disabled you depend on the service back-up so I had no qualms buying the folding-bike from them. We already have an IZIP ladies trek enlightened & a cyclone 500w kit on a RSW and I...

    IZIP Trek Enlightened, Throttle?

On an outing to the Forest of Dean my wife met a girl with an identical IZip Trekking Enlightened except that her bike had an aftermarket throttle. Apparently it was fitted by the dealer she purchased the bike from (new) & she jotted down the details on a scrap of paper which, as in the law of...

    slime coming out of valve

my kids swear by slime & has been mentioned already the secret is to carry spare valves + extractor with the repair kit. It's surprising how many small punctures have been 'slimed' before a complete tube change.

    Forum tidy-up

The one thing I would find useful is a section for self-built 'kit' bikes although I know the majority here seem to use propriety make.

Gas Electric Hybrid Mongoose Bicycle Bike Custom

I hate to say this but the low-low-step thru bike appeals to me My disability means that I (along with many others I suspect ) am unable to manage to get on to a lot of bikes on the market. I did look at the non-electric version of this bike but it cost too much to import/convert. Beauty is in...

    Another charger question

Thanks everyone, the battery is for my DIY bike so I can fit any. Has anyone had any problems with duty payment when buying from China? I'm unsure what to allow for. As for the charger, I want to charge the bikes on my motorhome which is 24v or 12v with a solar-panel, I can use an inverter...

    Another campervan man

Hi Conal, we're motor-homers as well except our is a converted library bus and we cart around 3 'normal' bikes + 2 electric bikes. They all fit on bike-racks at the back & lucky we're 6.5ton so no weight worries.

    Another charger question

I know when you buy a battery pack you should get the charger as well but my question is, I am going to buy a 24v lifepo4 battery pack sourced from a UK supplier, my wife already has an iZip enlightened 24v charger, can I use that? Also has anyone tried the 'mVELO Pedelec/eBike Charger'...
