Has anyone tried the above product with a speed sensor?
I think that it is the height of great design, no crumby magnet screwed to your spoke waiting to fall off!
This is the thread for the conception/construction of my second pedelec build "Number Two". Why a second bike when you have one that works? My current bike frame is too small. It is also a 26" wheel which doesn't fit my use - on roads only and my riding style.
The bike hosting a GSM mid drive...
Excuse me while I run out and buy a lotto ticket! I wouldn't mind going back to a car for those longer distances but it would have to be this one now that I have seen it.
Now about that 150 mile / 240 km range, was that calculated by Bosch?
Are the HobbyKing XT90 plugs a good choice for replacing Anderson plugs as a battery connection?
I want a standard plug at the controller into which I can plug my two battery leads. As I will be ordering from HK I thought I might as well buy there and these are the plugs on my battery packs and...
Ciclotek is now selling a hub motor with torque sensor http://www.ciclotekstore.eu/b2c/producto/9822300/2/
Does any one know which motor it is? Mxus XF08 maybe?
Does anyone have experience with this motor?
TIA
Today's question:
Does the 09 bottle battery controller have a connection for lights, 36 V or 6 V I don't mind either? I.e. one that would turn the lights on from the LCD-3 button press.
For my next build I am looking at gear options and thought I might put a Nexus Inter 8 behind the GSM kit. The bike is a 28" wheel I think I will be running 50-622 Big Bens on them. As the bike has vertical drop-outs I will be using the Alfine chain tensioner.
As I have lots of long up-hills...
...and many more kilometres under clement skies! May all your Smart bikes be of the finest designer stuff! :D
I finished 2015 with 2197 km riden since June, 2016 should be a 5000 km year! :)
You could stage a mini protest in response to Lord Lawson

I love the idea of bikes causing pollution. The Lord in question does have some higher education, or not?
One of the things I do with my pedelec is hook up my trailer throw all the gear in and lash a few rods on top and go fishing. Today I went on foot but... fresh fish in the fridge for the first time in quite a while! :)
I taught myself a new technique for me, fishing with paste. A mix of...
I am looking for a 20A sine wave controller from a respected source and I think the controller from a BMS 09 battery will suit my purposes. BMS sell the whole deal for about 80€ but I don't need the LCD, throttle (yuck  ) and brake levers.
PM me if you have one for sale.
Cheers
My new build looks to be my current rear motor kit in a bigger, more comfortable 700C frame. I really wanted to put a GSM CD in there but finances being what they are... I thought about running a web campaign but "poor underpaid bloke living in a wonderful part of the world needs funds for sexy...

Even 50% off todays prices would be fine with me, but I need that price today not in 2020... :(
Today I passed the one thousand kilometer mark. The ride was especially chosen for this milestone with lots (LOTS!) of hills and some fabulous scenery.
As an apetiser I rode the usual 11 k to the station. First course: from Zumaia to Deba is basically a climb to 260 metres that is about 10...
Today I had the chance of putting in a few km on my mates bike. He bought it on sale at 30% off retail because, I think, it is a first generation model with a front wheel hub motor. It has a Bafang motor and a 24V battery. I told him the battery was not an issue as he can upgrade to 36V when and...

Keep this well hidden from your significant other or popping out to the pub will become a thing of the past
