    Introducing the new Woosh Bermuda

It's a solution to a problem found by many new cyclists. They feel unsafe on a traditional geometry bike because with the saddle set at the correct height, they cannot plonk their feet firmly on the ground. You see a lot of ladies riding with low saddles for this reason. It will also help if...

    Introducing the new Woosh Bermuda

At the extreme is the Gazelle Balance. The saddle is set far back, chopper motorbike style, so you can pedal with the correct leg extension, but still put your feet flat on the ground while sitting on the saddle. Disadvantage is pedalling in such a position reduces the amount of power you can...

    Newbie Big Bear guy :)

A Bear should do the job. The front hub motor is a good choice, given that you are a big lad. As you get into it, you way want to do some upgrades - the bike bits are not the best quality. Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres can't be beaten for commuting, and the cable disc on the Bear isn't up to...

    New Bosch battery

In my quest for longer range I've decided to give one of the German pattern batteries for my Bosch bikes a try. The one I have is 468wh, about 60wh more than the biggest capacity official battery. The battery arrived well-packed from Germany, taking only a few days despite the website saying...

Gear hub for Bafang bbs01 mid drive kit

The crank drive is largely irrelevant from a conversion point of view. You could build a hub gear into a new rear wheel, but you might need to alter or remake the drop outs on the frame of the bike, depending on what it is. That could be as simple as a bit of filing, or a welding job. You...

    London Cyclist Death

The rural areas can be less safe due to sporadic but fast moving traffic. From a safety point of view, I'd rather cycle down Regent Street than on a twisty B-road in the Yorkshire dales where there are too many motorised test pilots.

    G-tech bike,has anyone seen a proper test

Gates quote the belt life as 'about twice that of a chain'. Not much when you consider a good chain is about £20 and the belt is closer to £100. Grit does nothing for the belt, so even on road there is a chance one will mash itself and leave you both stranded and with a big repair bill...

    New Gtech ebike

Cube make a few belt drive bikes, including a Bosch ebike with moto tyres. http://www.cube.eu/uk/products/e-bike-hardtail/suv-hybrid/cube-suv-hybrid-race-500-275-blackngrey-2016/

    Winora Radius

The Winora Radius is a 20" balloon tyred Yamaha crank drive bike. Quite rare, although presumably you can get one or you wouldn't be asking. Good quality bike and components. I doubt anyone on here has one, but I have an AVE MH5, which is a very similar design, same tyres, Bosch crank drive...

    New Gtech ebike

Looks like you've grasped the ins and outs, so you can weigh up if a Gtech will suit you. Don't expect too much in terms of development over the next year, or even few years. Lithium batteries was a step forward a few years ago, and the motors are refined a tiny bit each model year. But the...

    Haibike Trekking

Good point, well made, although the OP is keen on a Haibike trekking bike.

    Haibike Trekking

Yamaha - and Shimano Steps - bikes are generally a bit cheaper than Bosch ones. Not much in the riding experience, although some people find the Bosch slightly more refined. The availability of a 500wh battery for a Bosch bike would be a big factor for me because I like longer rides.

    Mopeds with large wheels.

My first moped was a fanbelt primary drive/chain secondary drive Raleigh step through. Not quick, but reliable enough. I then had an FS1e, something rings a bell about removing a small pin in the carburettor housing to get more grunt because with the pin out could open the throttle wider...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

I suspect trex has grasped the meaning of my post, but you have not. Either way, feel free to post what you like, but don't expect me to support your attempts to order the forum and its members to your liking. Believe it or not, Pedelecs rolled along quite happily before you landed, and yes...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

Sounds more than fair. Having said that, I've seen what bike? posts on here that shout, say, Big Bear. Any member should be free to reply to those appropriately.

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

The vast majority of posts by trex are no more than a puff for woosh. His avatar should be a woosh logo and his account name should be woosh sales. Anything else is a mealy-mouthed compromise, particularly when the other trade members play the game properly.

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

The more posters the better, so in that respect it's a shame d8 has left, for the time being, probably. Announcing one's departure in a thread does tell you something about the poster concerned. I hope he comes back, but I won't be begging him to. If he wants to stay away, fine, he's a big...
