If a mosfet fries nothing will work, they don't have an in between except the thermal cut out. Show us a pic of your controller or unscrew the top 2 screws each end and pry off lid/cover and count them lined up along the side.

Fake Sony vtc5's are on the market so do your homework carefully is buying any and as in #9 check the v+ cap. The fakes are using 4 point leg contact on the v+ cap, genuine cells only have a tri contact on the v+.

The ability to change the % level is a very good reason to buy the bike, one can then opt for a very low % level if one wants to do more of the work. Which is why I like the KT controllers, with PAS1 only approx.13% of the power is supplied so good for battery range on a longer run.
