Another little gem on ES Forum.

My welder went up in smoke today so for ne it doesn't even turn on, there was a bit of magic smoke that appeared from behind the lcd display. Sending back for a repair is an option but will likely cost £13- £14 50 send back + repair cost and return postage. Have bit the bullet and ordered an...

    Bosch CX pedal resistance

I have no experience of Bosch/Yam mid drives etc,etc but what you describe and if it was a hub drive I would say it was a phase wire or controller mosfet issue. The fact no resistence is present when system is off may also back up the issue. Is it possible to disconect the conntroller...

    CS2 Greenedge not turning on

03 error I think with Intelligent display is Phase wire issue, but if the display isn't switching on then it could be at fault or the supply via the controller is at fault. Double check the battery has a voltage output reading using a meter, if you don't have one buy one for about £5.

Stealth 100W motor caput after 18 months

The hand test spinning the wheel to rule out a controller issue is free and takes 2 -3 mins, only tech bit involved is maybe disconnecting the controller if required. The electrical test afterwards is to confirm either Mosfet fault of internal motor hall failure. The 1000w motor is a D/D drive...

    Sparticle motor

Can I see a pic of the hub John from three plains ? Yes by all means you can drop the hub off for me to see If I an open it and have a look inside, I will PM you in conversatons. Sometimes motor noise can be electrical and this can resonate from the controller. If you slowly rotate the hub...

Stealth 100W motor caput after 18 months

I open mine up and replaced all bearings when one starts to fail to save having to go through the process twice. Last time It cost me about £ 7 or £8 for my Bafang CST, I even did the cassette hub ones as well. As for Wheelipete's reply I had to give it a funny was going to agree as the end...

Stealth 100W motor caput after 18 months

You might be surprised to know that those who sell some kits haven't a clue how to fault find. A bike shop most likely less of a clue.

    Viking MT Tobin controller problem

Before cutting any cables/wiring 100% make sure all items are from the same manufacturer, will probably be either Kuenteng (KT) or Luishi one isn't compatible with the other as some functions may or may not work. The name should be on rear of display and on controller label. If not wanting to...

Stealth 100W motor caput after 18 months

Hubs are usually reliable though possible a hall sensor has failed ? More likely the controller has a mosfet issue so quite easy to see/find if that is the fault, if so replace controller and off you go again. Easy manual test 2 or 3 mins , electrical test 10- 20 mins no opening/removal of hub...

Rack bag / Rutland cycling / HotUKDeals

Most add on bike racks have a tubular frame work, the top is usually an outer tubular framework with a flat middle support base section. The bag has 4 full height Velcro's at each corner, Velcro unhooks and is fed through the gap between base section & outer tube framework then under tubed...

    Viking MT Tobin controller problem

The cable you have arrowed is the screen/handle bar display connection, it carries the power and comm's from the controller, so reason why you have no display info. Show us a pic of your old controller and display cable connector. You need the old connector/cable from your old controller and...

    Bafang SWX02-C Motor

The hub motor (space between the spokes) will have some writing lasered on, with the writing will be a number for example like this ( 13 ). Tell us the number and we can ascertain the motor winding in RPM and the speed it may attain. The bikes controller will most likely be at the base of the...
