Typical China battery poor power/current share !!!

At least they have upped their game better, my one above was originally from a Big Bear BPM kit. It is better but still not perfect for equal current share. Each outer cell in the series groups is receiving again half the current from the center cell so they will be getting a bit warmer and...

Typical China battery poor power/current share !!!

A 14s 3p so actually 52v not 48v battery, which bike is that on ? Or is it the TSDZ kit ?

Typical China battery poor power/current share !!!

I opened one of my Dolphin 29E packs today to have a look at cell layout and connections and not to surprised to see the poor series connections which leads to poor power /current share amongst all cells. Cells are all connected in a long row alternating every 5 cells as it is 5p between + & --...

    Motor problems

Most motor issues will be controller fets or motor halls, so a meter is a must if yo are wanting to find the issue. A sticking motor is likely to be a fet or phase issue. Could also be the controller isn't configured correctly and a parameter or two need changing. You can carry out a manual...

BMS with same power out and charge wires

If you need high charge rate then use same port bms (2 wire) , uses P- for charge /discharge it allows higher charge rate if needed so goes through a better fet. Charge rate is = to that of the rated constant discharge. Separate port bms uses separate channels and charge rate is less typically...

    CS2 Greenedge not turning on

You have to show pics of the controller and display so we know possibly what tech is on the bike then we may be able to find what error 03 is. Could be a phase or hall fault depends on the kit/bike electronics.

    Chinese imports

You can't get around duty from China for large bulky items, esp when a lithium batteyr is involved. A good kit is 500 - 600 then about 75 for fitting if unable to do so.

    Cyclamatic power plus

I would go with an original from Sports HQ, it sounds like you will need help to fit it so looks like back to your bike shop. Have a look on Facey or Nextdoor community to see if there is a bicycle workshop locally with more knowledgeable members.

    Battery Storage

For storage cold is good, the only issue with cold batteries is they tend not to hold full capacity when charged so best to let them sit at ambient indoor temps for a day or two. I keep mine in the garage except for the one in daily use. If not using much keep voltage lower at 37 - 38.5v and...

    Battery maintenance tips please

The battery is 10s 4p so means cells are 3.2ah only a couple of cells likely to be inside either LG MH1 or Sam 32E both are rated 10a in my view. I would think 23 is a min range and 35 - 42 should be on the cards during good weather and on a low Pas level. The Bms will typically have a lvc of...

    BBS02 Advice

All batteries supplied with 2a charger. The 12ah battery has 576wh so range will vary from 25 to 45 miles, range is all dependant on so many factors no two rides will be the same. Wind, weight, terrain, ground conditions & PAS level are the five main ones to affect range also ambient temps is...

    BBS02 waterproofing

Wrong gearing and labouring the motor is a sure fire way of causing controller damage these motors like free spinning and high cadence.

Could you give me your opinion on this kit?

I would want 32/48 or 34/48 double a hub drive even a TS hub drive, for me I find a single doesn't either cut it on hills or on the flat. Either spin too much or to high a gearing even with 9/10 speed.

    Controller

Yes but don't get hung up on controller watt rating it is a crap way for listing them . Be guided by the controller amp rating as any 36v one will work but no use having crap cells and 20a + controller rating, in the long term cells will lose capacity sooner and suffer more voltage sag.

A couple of decent locks or a mean looking Rotty. Remove battery and take with you, dont' leave bike locked in same place for to long.

    hi

If the voltage pans out and is in the correct range for the battery voltage a check with your meter will be required to check the throttle hall via it's wiring.

    Inflating Battery

I wasn't referring to dump the whole lot in saline just the cell packs once disconnected, Jimmy though will dispose of pouch cells in a re-cell so no issue. The casing is always retained for re -use.
