    Tour of Britain

You'll never get away with it Wissy. Once you sprint away from the peleton they'll twig you are e-powered. ;) .

Is this Pedal-Assist Electric Bike true?

And designed for their market, being designated "Cross Border". The wattage and assist speed limit conform to federal law so it can be ridden into most states, but not all due to other limitations including total bans. .

    Vectrix VX1 - Scooter

I found the Vectrix great to ride and infinitely better than any nominally 30 mph petrol moped, but the killer was the £7000 price tag. At the time a number of good small cars could be bought for that and even much less. Faced with minimal sales they dropped it to £6000 for the last year but...

    Yamaha Easy battery charger wanted.

You won't have to open the battery to change the connector though, if the connection needs changing it will be the one on the charger lead that's changed. We won't know that until you have the charger of course. I don't know what charging connector your battery has, but if it doesn't match the...

    Saddle Choice for Prostate Problems

Yes, I use an Omron memory model, this model, the same as that many doctors use. Uses 4 x AA batteries which last years with intermittent use. It even measures accurately through a shirtsleeve so very convenient to use. .

    Bike push trailer

I would definitely choose powered bike with trailer over powered trailer, better control, traction assured, still powered solo and can be legal, which a powered trailer won't be, especially if throttle controlled. .

    Yamaha Easy battery charger wanted.

This is probably the same battery as the Yamaha Super of the following two years, a 24 volt NiMh one. Almost no e-bikes use NiMh any more having switched to lithium batteries long ago, so in consequence suitable chargers are between scarce and not available in the UK. One company in the USA...

    Saddle Choice for Prostate Problems

Yes Phill, Flomax is a Tamsulosin brand, both Tamsulosin hydrochloride. I have an evening high blood pressure problem which is separately treated with Amlodipine morning and evening, but my morning pressures are normal. The Tamsulosin recommendation is to take the one daily capsule in the...

    Bike push trailer

A pedelec controlled crank unit wouldn't be ideal since it would require someone on the back to pedal, reducing the flexibility of use. Some of the throttle controlled ones could have ground clearance problems on that tag-along. So I'd be inclined to say a hub motor for simplicity and...

    Saddle Choice for Prostate Problems

Probably a much earlier starter than you Phill, my BPH has been with me for almost 30 years now. I've been ok with a reasonably well padded but not too wide Velo saddle on my last two bikes, the model you see in this pic and have never suffered any severe pain with it. As for medication, been...

    Windows 10

Thanks, yes, 79 now and enjoying it at least as much as earlier decades. On reflection, more than many earlier decades. The downside is the rapidly increasing number of people I've known who've died, many of them much younger than me, which, because I'm in good health, seems both odd and...

    Changes in S pedelecs laws

I sympathise and agree Eddie. But the problem is that this sub forum is titled for Off Road, S-pedelecs and Overseas. The inclusion of S-pedelecs clears any mention of ebikes or gadgets that achieve assist speeds up to 45 kph as being permitted within the forum. Of course only members...

Can electrifying a bike be this easy?

Yes, that will be there all the time, some drag is inevitable with drive through any epicyclic, but far, far less from that source than the 16% that was claimed. But I don't know at what stage the freewheel is between the pedalled epicyclic and motor gears, so that could add a small degree if...

Can electrifying a bike be this easy?

It depends which Bosch version of course. With the current small chainwheel one, pedalling is through an epicyclic to bring cadence up to the higher sprocket speed, which will add some drag. .

Which 20inch rear hub engine 36V+++

Yes I know, which is why I've no idea what range of speeds they offer for different wheel sizes. Since Germany has the S class they may have some quite fast revving ones for that market. .

    Windows 10

I haven't adopted Windows 10 yet., on Windows 7 since I didn't like Window 8 and I've got all the speed I could ever want due to a top end I7 processor and all solid state hard drives. I may leapfrog to W.10 sometime though, just no need prompting me at present. I know what you mean about the...

    Changes in S pedelecs laws

I understand that in Germany that cycle helmets are mandatory for S class use and I believe it's the same in The Netherlands. France intends to follow in 2017. If the UK does allow S pedelecs I've little doubt they would also follow the same pattern, but I'm not confident they will allow them...

Which 20inch rear hub engine 36V+++

Heinzmann are a German maker of superb quality motors so you should have no qualms on that account. They are also the oldest maker, their first e-bike electric hub motor being 1922. Cyclezee are UK agents for Heinzmann. .
