  1. the Scott E Sub 20 looks very nice...now if i had the money...and i could make that into an 'S' then i might be tempted.
  2. another place Eddie Scott E Sub 20 Men Bike and Electric Bikes although looks like 2012....13....14.....
  3. The Powabyke Euro meets that criteria....In fact under £650 for the bike and £200 for the official battery...
  4. although the limit is 70 most people do 80 anyway knowing they won't be prosecuted,if the limit increases to 80 then that becomes 90 unless we are going to have an influx of traffic police or speed cameras that actually work.
  5. I agree,my next door but 2 neighbour was killed by a speeding car,20 yards from his home.....speed kills..leave the limit as it is.
  6. he won't if he crashes....a sticky end............
  7. Evans are selling Scott 2012 bosch bikes shortly according to their web site.
  8. That looks like excellent service to me. Well done Oxygen bicycles, keep up the good work !
  9. I think you hit the nail on the head with the last quote about a 10 minute recharge. That would kill the need for larger batteries altogether. My rides are also leisure rides, less than 20 miles now is hardly worth getting the bike out for. Most of my rides fall in the 20-45 bracket with a few 45-65 thrown in for good measure. But the more you ride, the fitter you get and subject to available time the further you want to go. But what this has to with faulty Wisper batteries i don't Know. I think David at Wisper should have started a new thread on his future batteries...haha
  10. Wow,200 miles off one charge, but realistically that would be about 170....still enough to make your knees buckle when you get off the saddle, thats if it doesn't need to be surgically removed ! .I think thats as far as you need to go on the range side now. The next step would be the same battery with a five year warranty closely followed by the same battery but half its weight. If this battery is made available for me it would be a big step for ebikes. A 36a Panasonic orBMS would do the same job...can't wait.......Hopefully when my 18a dies then something along these lines will be available.
  11. Don't sell them to Lancashire police ! I passed our community bobby going up a nearby steep hill and as much as he tried,he just couldn't keep up to me.....shame
  12. they are good,i have blasted a few cars with mine and they hear them !!! With pedestrians i use the 'polite' bell first but if i don't get a response they get the Airzound ........
  13. you do know you have to be 14 to ride an ebike ..hahaha
  14. After tightening the lock bracket i round that the are both very much impoved but the 18a is a better fit
  15. I just removed the locking cover and tightened up the whole locking bracket to the frame. It doesnt jump/rattle at all now.
  16. the aldi lycra tights are very warm ,comfortable and have excellent padding in all the right places ! ridiculous, unpleasant for3rd party observers and frighten children...but my comfort comes first.......
  17. If the market is there then they will sell if not we will see them in a sale later inthe year.I have no intension of changing my bike unless i am offered a substancial trade in against a new one...but you can't do that ........that i know of. My bike has many thousands of miles left in it,spare parts are readily available so what would i gain ? A slight gain in performance,no change in range just a nice shiney new bike. May be in 7/8 years if there are significant improvements it may be worth while but at the moment its a no brainer !
  18. Nice video,do you not feel a bit more intimidated on a trike rather than a bike being so low down ?
  19. i used 1st gear and high power on the steepest part of my ride yesterday. I was very apologetic to a guy on the steepest part as i sailed past him..... samlesbury-waddington-dunsop bridge-longridge-goosenagh-broughton by carpetbagger1 at Garmin Connect - Details
  20. Cycling in France always seems a lot safer than here as they give you more room when overtaking,i have seen signs that in my area general driving awareness of cyclists is improving..probably because there are more of us. I was on holiday in Compiegne af few years ago, just down the road from Senlis and in those days the bikes in France were cheaper than here and better quality for the money so one year i bought my son a new bike in Senlis,we already had his with us so that year we went out with four and came back with five ! The following year we went back to the bike shop in Senlis for my daughters bike and the same chap served us again.
  21. eta.co.uk do free cycle recovery....if you take out their insurance...the quote i did on line was £127.22 by dd or £137.22 if not. I think i will stick to carrying the tubes and chain links and ring the wife if required !!
