Maybe we should allow in immigrants who want to work and have sorted out a job prior to arrival(condition). Then deport all those people who don't want to work,many uk people included,on a one for one basis. Problem sorted,everybody happy,now if only the politicians could see that !

Totally agree if it was an ideal world,its just that it isn't. I think the biggest gripe about immigration is the strain on services,housing....and the handouts. Yes people should be allowed to settle where they like but not funded by people who have worked every hour god sends to feed their families. If they bring money in and work i have no problem with this. I have seen extreme poverty and it isn't very nice ie India. How is it a country can afford to send rockets into space and have areas of extreme wealth yet let people live on the streets and search in gutters for food. The same said country has been getting millions of pound in aid from european countrys.We shouldn't be funding their space program. The money is for aid,but they need to get their own house in order first. I know it is the politians of that country but as long as we give those sorts of handouts it will be continually abused as it is in this country. I know its not just the immigrants who come here and who can blame them anyway,anything for free why not? There are just as many abusers in this country . What we need is to stop the abuse of the system we have by everyone. Then we need to sort out aid for countries who need it by not giving it to other countries but by going there and inprove water systems etc ourselves,that way the money isn't used for space programs,guns,drugs etc. I am quite happy to see worldwide help and would love to be able to go there and assist. That is what people are seeing as regards immigration...abuse...and that is the problem.

How can you provide statistics when thousands of illegal immigrants have entered this country and are no longer tracked so they can be removed,one of which killed an 8 year old girl 3 miles from where i live and they cannot be deported because they have supposed family in this country. Tell that to her mother and father !

i would love to move to france, i wonder if they will throw in a five bedroom house,give me lots of benefits so that i can sit in it doing nothing with £25,000 plopping into my bank account annually (figures for example only) with free Nhs care while i have put nothing into their country,no particular race,colour or nationallity, just supposed people who the government say are adding to ours. I pay my taxes and get screwed for even more.I would gladly donate more to charity and good causes than i do if my country didn't treat me like a mug. Even more so the brave soldiers who fight for our country loosing life and limbs who are screwed even more than i am. Also the Nurses who are underpaid and overworked and are contsantly crucified if anything goes wrong. Lets get the UK right before we give freebies to anyone who asks.....

52mph, i have tried a couple of times on same hill but the wind direction limited me to 49mph....since then i crashed at 6mph on a mini roundabout and haven't had the same inclination to try to hit 50mph any more,it sort of knocks your confidence a bit.

I am sure both eddieo and indalo will be back,how can you ban such great posts from both. Great technical knowledge and jokes. simple answer is we pay more for everything,screw the brits,evening our companys do it so why should they be any different. If the government want us to spend to get the economy going then get us paying prices that everywhere else does...

When you say it cuts out before the 15.5 mph limit how accurate is your measurement ? Are you using a cheapo cycle computer or are you using something decent like a Garmin 500 ? that could be why you have a discrepency.
