You're in Berkobennie, riding on Chiltern Park Avenue. We only use the first half of the postcode to avoid identifying your exact home position for security reasons, hence that positioning.

Thanks but cyclists are encouraged not to ride on the A50 dual carriageway or wear fully body protection like a cage around the bike :)

On my way home I go on a little bit of it which is a slip road for about 300 yards and people think I'm mad.

I don't think you're mad doing that, it might well be sensible. At one London spot where the recommended safe cycle route is on slow roads via a roundabout with cycle markings, some prefer to take to the fast flyover going over it and mix it with motor traffic. There's been many cycle accidents on the recommended route but none on the flyover!

Hi Stevew,

You are the map. Please click on the link below to see your location on page 2. ;)

It's close but not that close, I'm near Orpington station !!

Odd really cos if you type in to Google maps 'Orpington BR6' it's pretty accurate but if you just put 'BR6' it's miles away. Dunno why

Some postcode areas are quite large and the first part of the postcode just places it centrally. Adding a place name adjusts it accordingly.

One Welsh member gave me a central Wales postcode first part, but the central position placing was several tens of miles away from his position. With little habitation in that area the post code zone was a huge area of central Wales!

Hi Steve,

The map is not precise for security reasons, I only used the postcode that you gave.

If you want to have more accurate location on the map I can move you?

No problem John, happy to be moved or not. doesn't bother me :)

Hi again Steve,

I moved you to Station Road http://goo.gl/maps/FUxEJ :)

Ah yes, feel more at home now. Still vague enough to be secure though ;)

Thanks.

Good morning John,

If you provide the first part of your postcode Flecc or myself will add you to the map.

Regards,

Hi Croxden,

This as close as ST10 gets;)

With a nice expensive bike you probably wouldn't than me for a more accurate location and the ability to find where you live on Street View;)

I never thought of that but far enough away that I don't know the area. Thanks.
