March 21, 201412 yr Some of these crank extractors have extra little levers... ? Any idea what they are called?
March 21, 201412 yr Wissy, To be serious, your bike has a bottom bracket/crank fitting called ISIS. They are known to come a little loose - you can tell by a very slight wobble in the pedal arm/chain ring. Most bike shops will have an ISIS tool and should be prepared to tighten yours while you wait. I know a lot of shops are frightened of ebikes, but this is a standard push bike job.
March 21, 201412 yr Aaaahh.. Crank = pedal leg. Ok.. Now that makes sense. Have google image of this so get it now. Once I understand lingo I get there you know. Sorry to hijack thread but what was I needed! Local bike shop refuses to touch ebike. I will be able to do it just needed to get past terminology... Bit like recipe books...
March 29, 201412 yr Crank Pullers and spider tools back in stock now. Just to let everyone know. http://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/eBike-Spare-Parts/bosch-spider-tool Regards Martin
March 29, 201412 yr Need to tighten mine but how does the pedal 'leg' come off for spider tool to fit. Had it come loose twice now and nice farmer happened to help me on Wednesday with tightening it with a big wrench.. Ironically my brand new spider tool was at home. It is now packed with the bike.. BUT I undid the bolt on pedal leg but leg would not come off?? Search on youtube for 'remove bosch crank'

You don't need an Isis tool to tighten a crank on, it's just an 8mm Allen key. You only need a tool to remove it.
January 23, 201610 yr The spider tool above is a bit expensive, £30, and I guess one would need to buy a wrench to plug it into, if one does not already have one. The alternative is a "double spider tool" spanner from this Italian company - just a bit over £20 via Paypal delivered to the UK. I've ordered one just now. http://speedup.altervista.org/
