December 26, 20169 yr it has no rechargeable batt in this display mind and has 2 3v button batts in the back of it like the Yamaha display. also it is made in china so must cost about 5 quid to make lol. it also does not turn on when not connected to the bike it would seem. tho it is a bit smaller than i thought it would be and a lot less waight.

What are power assist buttons like to use. My cripe with standard buttons is that too easy to double or triple tap eg shift from tour to off. Can't always use them without looking. How is walk button, looks like is thumb operated now which should be plus. Bosch may make great drives but their user interfaces are way behind competition. If only I could use the Shimano Steps switches with CX drive. Edited December 26, 20169 yr by Trevormonty
December 26, 20169 yr 0.3 idk lol tho i have just put a crud catcher on the frame and have a rear mud guard but it dont bloody fit. button wise they feel better than the ones on the remote but until i get it on the bike and test it cant say for sure as will prob need a software update and the shop not open till the 1st jan.
December 26, 20169 yr Really interested to know how hard it is to thread through the frame. Thats the only thing stopping me from buying one and LBS says they are £90 but are a bit slow in getting one, although to be fair I did say no rush.

December 26, 20169 yr Hiccups sorted . https://www.strava.com/activities/812073802 31 miles today. out to the local forests for mud and glorious slippery conditions, at least I didn't have to contend with the S/D claggy clay. Four pics from Tilgate park/Forest. Campbell's lake looking north. Adventure activity centre up in the pine trees. Picking a route through this lot. Edited December 26, 20169 yr by Nealh

December 26, 20169 yr Author SW do me a favour when you fit the display. Wrap the wire around the handlebars a couple of times. It doesn't look as athletically pleasing, but it does help to prevent it from snagging up and getting caught on undergrowth. So few people or even manufacturers do this, but it could help prevent a costly mistake. at least I didn't have to contend with the S/D claggy clay. I'm not working on Wednesday and was half thinking of venturing back down to the S/D, but as you say the clay there plays havoc. Not sure that even I want a repeat of this, which as you know is pretty typical of riding there when things get wet and sticky. This was also the day that I decided that my SD guided tours idea was never going to work. Edited December 26, 20169 yr by EddiePJ
December 26, 20169 yr its way longer than it should be tho i guess it is because it fits all frame sizes. it just looks so much better and less cluttered when the rest will be removed. at least now i will be able to put my stem on the right way round not that it makes much difference tbh as it is flat anyway just the screen mount will not fit other wise. tho first time i opened the box and seen the cable out should have been at the top
December 26, 20169 yr Author Wrap/coil the spare cable up at the motor end and cable tie it together. Don't be tempted to just push it into the frame and leave it, as sooner or later it will work it's way out.
December 26, 20169 yr Interesting tip regarding wrapping the cable around the bars.. Mine is done like this and I have found it mildly annoying when trying to clip the 2 hope lights onto the bars by getting the mounts under the cable.. Now I know why it is done this way I shall be more appreciative of it!!
December 26, 20169 yr yeah thats what i was going to do anyway tho doubt the shop would do that and just leave it there lol. my ant bought it for crimbo and also got a mud guard set and they know full well i have a dropper post

December 26, 20169 yr i can get it that sort of position just i will have to cut the seat post clamp in half and use some cable ties to hold it on and drill 4 holes in it 4 them. tho tbh i dont like any rear mud guards
December 26, 20169 yr If you were marooned on a desert island with your bike, and you could have one more thing what would it be? A bag of Cable Ties?
December 26, 20169 yr [quote="EddiePJ, post: 347285, member: 10334" I'm not working on Wednesday and was half thinking of venturing back down to the S/D, but as you say the clay there plays havoc. Not sure that even I want a repeat of this, which as you know is pretty typical of riding there when things get wet and sticky. This was also the day that I decided that my SD guided tours idea was never going to work. Pretty much how my last ride up there ended, ripped off one of my mucky nutz clone guards and made a total mees of both sets of pads.
