May 20, 20187 yr Author That looks some ride Did you require a spare battery? At the end of the ride, I had roughly a quarter of battery capacity left remaining on a second battery. Other than an estimated two miles, the ride was ridden using tour, with the estimated two miles being ridden in eMTB mode. The first battery expired at 31 miles. The distance from 18 miles to 23 miles was all but flat, and ridden above the legal cut off point. . Edited May 20, 20187 yr by EddiePJ
May 20, 20187 yr Eddie, Past by there on bank holiday last. My brother lives in Woodingdean, it seems a lovely ride. Old haunts for me too.
May 21, 20187 yr You know the shortest distance between two points is a straight line Eddie? That helped me see the kind of places you might have steep climbs. That combined with the post on another thread showing the width of roads in the UK makes me happy to ride where I do.
May 21, 20187 yr That looks like a fantastic ride Eddie. It is the right time of year to do it. I came home from work last night/early morning around 01:30AM following in parts the valley of the river Wey and there were small patches of thick mist. The temperature had also fallen away quite markedly.
May 21, 20187 yr Author You know the shortest distance between two points is a straight line Eddie? The problem is that the straightest can also be the wettest. Not my photo.
June 1, 20187 yr Author If you go down in the woods today, you are sure of a big surprise! Even more so if you go back the next evening for another chat, and to share a cuppa whilst sitting beside a fire. It's always good to know who else is in the woods at night time, and to have them on side.
June 1, 20187 yr So you have warned him that the bright light beaming through the wood at night is not an alien from encounters of a third kind but little old you on your electric steed. Peace man. or at least we hope so.
June 2, 20187 yr Author He looks like he's still waiting for WW2 to end. Good job for me that I wasn't on Yamaha emtb, and or that the Bosch symbol was hidden.
June 2, 20187 yr Author Hope he isn't on the run from the law because the cat is out of the bag now... I initially thought the same, but he was quite happy to have his photo taken, and yes I did ask his permission first. He is actually in a fair number of photographs when I Googled what he was part of. Edited June 2, 20187 yr by EddiePJ
June 5, 20187 yr Last week due to start times I did 5 return trips to work and 120 miles, but just on the road using my old rear hub Oxygen that was my first electric bike bought back in 2011. Today with an afternoon start time I was able to use a much more pleasant off road route to work on the Haibike. Edited June 5, 20187 yr by georgehenry
June 5, 20187 yr Popped up to Scotland for a couple of days. Did Kirroughtree yesterday, today was Mabie and Ae. Stunning day, top of the start of the red route at Mabie.
June 6, 20187 yr Hope these work The first 2 are Kirroughtree and the last one was taking a break at Mabie, both on the red routes.
June 7, 20187 yr ??? the giant clear plastic disc on the rear wheel to stop the chain hitting the spokes
June 7, 20187 yr Exactly, the giant plastic disc that would save my nice DT Swiss Wheel, mmmm....jammed chain or trashed wheel, sorry the dippy discs are staying on
June 7, 20187 yr wait until all the crud builds up in between that and the cassette. if the hi low setting are right it will never come off anyway. and it looks crap
June 7, 20187 yr . It looks like the first ever "happy shopper" bike I had, they will come off eventually.
