December 24, 20187 yr Hopefully, detection/interception systems will be installed at all the big airports and we will be in the position that if a 'sighting' is made it can either be refuted, or if real, the drone can be intercepted. This should have been done years ago but, as ever, it's all about budgets.
December 24, 20187 yr Who in their right mind thought that selling drones to the Great Unwashed was a good idea? And who in their right mind thought that the police in Britain could find their ass with both hands?
December 24, 20187 yr Who in their right mind thought that selling drones to the Great Unwashed was a good idea? And who in their right mind thought that the police in Britain could find their ass with both hands? You shouldn't discriminate against Hull like that..
December 24, 20187 yr Author Who in their right mind thought that selling drones to the Great Unwashed was a good idea? And who in their right mind thought that the police in Britain could find their ass with both hands? The Chinese... The client countries just didn't have what it takes to register all owners (quadcopter pilots are registered here when the aircraft weighs more than 800 grams)
December 24, 20187 yr The Chinese... The client countries just didn't have what it takes to register all owners (quadcopter pilots are registered here when the aircraft weighs more than 800 grams) That doesn't solve it.. Disruption could be caused by any drone.. A mile away who can tell whether it weighs 750g or 75kg... Why haven't authorities simply put in place required procedures. Having no defence against them is no excuse, should have thought about it years ago. We, ve had remote controlled planes 50 years, probably more.
December 24, 20187 yr It stinks of fake news esp the fact that some 57 sightings were reported, they all must have been in the same pub for xmas drink.
December 24, 20187 yr The plot continues minister now confirms siting's as genuine and plod have made a right mess of their communications with the press.
December 24, 20187 yr Who in their right mind thought that selling drones to the Great Unwashed was a good idea? And who in their right mind thought that the police in Britain could find their ass with both hands? There is money to be made by selling drones and money is king. Money is far more important than any other issue. Well at least it is in the UK. I agree with you regarding the police. In general, the rank & file coppers are doing their best, but it’s beyond comprehension how some of the senior officers found their way into post. Monumental bell-ends doesn’t begin to describe them.
December 24, 20187 yr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sVElxRKQ0E This would work. It would, but as defender or aggressor?
December 24, 20187 yr It would, but as defender or aggressor? Reckon it would be good at both... Best means of defence...
December 25, 20187 yr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sVElxRKQ0E This would work. That is seriously depressing and scary. How is it thar humans find a way to weaponise everything? Which will be the first national police force to use one against their citizen's?
December 25, 20187 yr Suffolk Police with American airbases are well tooled to deal with any eventuality http://cl.ly/image/2Q2s2W2I0B2k/boeing_ah_64a_apache.jpg
December 25, 20187 yr Suffolk Police with American airbases are well tooled to deal with any eventuality It seems the snag for Suffolk police is in finding an eventuality to deal with it. Maybe they need a psychic. And given how adept the US air force are at friendly fire incidents, the tractor wouldn't stand a chance! .
December 25, 20187 yr You could well be right... Public fears deadly Suffolk Police helicopter Police Apache helicopter blows up vicarage
December 26, 20187 yr And more drone activity stopping aircraft flying on the other side of the world. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-12-26/drone-interrupts-fire-fighting-efforts-bruny-island/10668374
December 27, 20187 yr Yip...im all for that op...close brexit thread.... Why would you do that? If you don’t like it, don’t read the thread, it’s that simple. Other people do have an interest in Brexit and the fact that you don’t is no reason to close it off to others.

Other people do have an interest in Brexit and the fact that you don’t is no reason to close it off to others. Paul seems obsessed by it, six of his last eight posts have been complaining about the Brexit thread. I don't understand that censorial attitude, this world is full of things I don't like, so I just ignore them, knowing that others do like them. .

I don't understand that censorial attitude, this world is full of things I don't like, so I just ignore them, knowing that others do like them. . It is a bizarre notion he seems to have. Like you, there are many things which I don’t like or don’t have any interest in, some are on the pages of Pedelecs. The solution is not to read or contribute to them. It’s such a stunningly simple solution that I am amazed he is unable to think of it for himself. Oh well.
December 27, 20187 yr I suspect Brexit thread has run it's course but I thought that a year ago... It runs and runs... Perhaps PS is under impression this is a pedelec forum..
December 27, 20187 yr I suspect Brexit thread has run it's course but I thought that a year ago... It runs and runs... It's just paused for breath. Once past the present problem there's at least three years of trade talks to follow, plenty to discuss! .

Thanks for telling me not read thread..would never of thought of that..the only reason people look at that thread is to see/read people trolling each other...any useful ,constuctive debate is long gone.
December 27, 20187 yr Thanks for telling me not read thread..would never of thought of that..the only reason people look at that thread is to see/read people trolling each other...any useful ,constuctive debate is long gone. A vicious circle of trolling from both sides of debate... Brilliant... Sounds like our HoC.. Merry Christmas Paul.. Ps where was the constructive argument.. I must have missed it..

Well clearly you hadn’t thought of not reading it because you seem to have knowledge of the thread’s content. Save yourself the anguish and STOP READING the Brexit thread if you don’t like it. Honestly it’s like putting your hand in the fire and continually complaining that you keep getting hurt. Doh.
