I bought this bike (Izip Ezgo)from e.bay 2yrs ago for £250,it does the job well for what i want,but i would like it to be a bit lighter.Would changing to a lighter type of battery plus charger and controller be worth the cost compared to a new bike. Thanks. Brian

Just got back fom hols in switzerland,temp in the 80s,lots of e.bikes in Geneva and e.bike rental for tourists,tons of space on the trains for bikes and bike racks on the rear of sevice buses.Saw a few cargo electric bikes in Interlaken too,also pedal rickshaws.

My bike is a Izip Ezgo and i am getting a clicking noise from the hub,it only does it with rider weight(12 stone)if i lift the bike up or turn it upside down it does not do it,if i take the battery off and pedal it it, there it is again,other than the noise it works perfectly. Any ideas folks?

Lidl are having another bike week from thur 19th april,a natty chain cleaning gadget seems a good buy at £3.99 and tool kit £24.99.I have no connection with Lidl its just that i like value for money things that dont have any connection with Tesco. Brian

Lidl prices are unreal for lots of things ie. cycle stuff,just bought a crash hat £10,rechargeable lights inc batts. and charger £10 and some German beer.

I am amazed how much you guys know about e.bikes and electrics etc.perhaps it might be an idea to put all this knowledge to good use and for someone to start up a business repairing e.bikes,just a couple in each county would be a start,it would not cost much to set up if a garage or large shed...

I have got a Izip Ezgo with a broken battery rack,so i took the batteries out of their case and put them in a old ruck sack mounted on the rear carrier,job done i hear you say,but i would like to know if its possible to fit a lighter type of battery and keep the controller and fuses...
