1. We have a shop soiled Scott e-spark 720 for sale with full 2 year warranty going for a very good price at the moment.... Great deal!']Great deal!
2. Hi Grundo, I'm sorry, but we don't supply de-restriction devices for the brands we stock. S-pedelecs cannot be currently used on UK public roads legally, nor off road if there is public access to said land. Riese and Muller do produce an S- Pedelec version of the Delite, and KTM also produce a couple but do not supply to the UK unless there is proof of proposed legal use. Scott do not produce an S-Pedelec currently.
3. For a bombproof, low maintenance all rounder try:Riese and Muller Delite Rohloff or an MTB 29er: Scott e-Genius 920 ...which can be fully kitted as one of our customers has done: Hardtail option:KTM Macina Action 29...kitted out: Or something a bit more conventional:Scott e-sub sport men
4. Enjoyed a really good ride out today- For leisure and research really...wanted to see how much mileage I could get out of my 18month old Bosch 400wh battery, and it seemed like a good excuse for a ride on a sunny (but very cold) day. I did a similar route to last year-into Birmingham and back by canal and road. It ended up being 55 miles on one charge in Eco setting all the way on a Bosch Performance set-up, taking in about 2,500 ft of climbing. Again, the expected range was Bang on, and I arrived at home about 10 foot after the battery packed up! I've changed the tyres to Big Ben's running at high pressure, and made it more comfortable for hard surfaces( Bar ends/Gel saddle/18 tooth sprocket) Legs are aching a bit, but I've pulled my back (again!) lifting the bike to chin height over a gate that didn't open enough to squeeze through. The tyres were fantastic on tarmac and hard pack- they really rolled well and offered plenty of confidence to "Go for it", but really scary in the Mud on the Towpaths- Lots of snaking around and near misses made for quite a technical ride in certain areas.... Found the Nyon Display great throughout -Got it set up to show lots of fun info such as Torque, elevation, watts,Calories burned etc. Plus the map proved useful too once the GPS refound it's signal! Strava, Sports Tracker and the Nyon itself all showed slightly different stats...Sports Tracker seems to double up on the Ascent/Descent for some reason, but seems to do this consistently- maybe i'm missing something there? 5. I've recently stripped to frame and rebuilt my Scott eAspect 710 after being seriously muddied up off road, and decided that as I'll be using it for 80% tarmac it needed modifying somewhat. I've essentially made it a commuter bike by changing out the tyres to Big Ben's at high pressure, added bar ends for a change of position on my 2 hour round trip to work, Topeak mudguards, 18 tooth sprocket, lights and also the Nyon upgrade. Finding the Nyon far better than I thought it'd be, and am actually using some of the modes such as Fitness and the personalised settings through the App. Didn't think I'd like it, but the latest updates seem to have made it far more practical on road. I will still use the Intuvia Off road though, as it's cheaper to replace when the inevitable tumble occurs.
6. Hi, Indeed FatBikes are now sold in the UK...here is one that is available: OnBike:KTM Freeze 26 11 CX5']OnBike:KTM Freeze 26 11 CX5
7. Don't know if you've tried this number and address, but this is listed as the Head Office: 08444128450 ebikes@motogb.co.uk White Bear Yard, Adlington, Chorley Lancashire PR7 4HZ
8. Fixing bolts should be checked in PDI....who sold it?
9. Lol..not a problem at all...I usually get called far worse things!
10. Thanks Greyfox...I'll make sure Mike see's this!
11. Well, you were being offensive, and I had made a fairly inoffensive mistake. Seems like the correct reaction to me. Shall we move on from this now?
12. Hmmm...think I apologised, and the Thread was moved to the correct section.
13. The Birdy is a much better folded bike, and lighter too of course- great for travelling with.....just no Electric assist unfortunately. The Volt is more of a "Car boot folder"-Park and ride!
14. You nearly always get more for your money with KTM. The 24" compact is £2099,good spec, but is non folding. The 3 speed BH Volt is also £2099... lower spec, but does fold. The 8 speed BH Volt pro is £2449...higher price, but with Performance motor. http://www.onbike.co.uk/product-category/bh-emotion-electric-bikes/ We actually did very well with the Panasonic based Volt over the years, which had good build and exceptional reliability. I can see this Bosch powered variant stepping nicely into It's shoes.
15. BH Emotion Xenion Volt and Volt Pro Bosch Performance (Active available) 400Wh battery Nexus 8 (3 speed available) Magura Hydraulic Rim brakes (V-brakes available)
16. I post so infrequently on here, that I'd genuinely forgotten to post my advert in the trade section..... My apologies to all that are offended. Now I remember why I post so infrequently on here. Members appear to be a lot ruder than they used to be too.
17. KTM 2016 range now at OnBike. Great quality bikes at a great price! Different models arriving each week, but selling fast...
18. Had a nice ride today....really windy, but warm. As usual, I tracked my ride on both Strava and Sports Tracker, so I can compare to all my other rides, and add pics etc. Got home and uploaded from my phone to PC and had my tea. A bit later, my email pinged to let me know someone had commented on my ride. This is the conversation that followed: Apparently he wouldn't have minded if I was an Octogenarian Uniped.- Good to know. I've been using Strava for about a year with no issues at all, but I must have beaten one of his "scores" and wound him up. The fact is, I still rarely come in the top 50 on most named segments against these super fit lads (and lasses) and it's on my profile that I'm using an Electric assisted bicycle. I get the feeling that he thinks I'm sat on my bike with a throttle open doing no exercise at all, messing up his proper athletic achievements. I cycled hard today in that wind on my 19kg bike...climbed some fairly steep hills on "Off", "Eco" and "Tour"settings did some pretty technical sections off road and even fell off (all be it at about 1mph). I'm not competing against anyone, just monitoring my own rides. I've heard mention of a way to use Strava with an Ebike without upsetting the Luddites, but can't for the life of me find it, though I'm probably looking right at it. Anyone point me in the right direction please? Anyone else had a similar experience?
19. Hi Keidor, The displays are only in Km unless you have the very latest model ( and I think only on the Evo rather than Neo) which does have the option to change. Your dealer should be able to help you go through the display settings if you're stuck.
20. None really...straight from the cam into the computer, through dropbox onto youtube...I did choose the stabilising option for shakes, but I don't think it actually converted it as it was taking so long. The cam gives a wi-fi option of straight to you tube without plugging in, but not tried it yet.
21. Lol...yeah, I was puffing a bit...who says ebikes are cheating? (Apart from the guy out with four of his friends that passed me later as I was riding un -assisted, and just had to say " that's cheating! ") First time ever I get a comment from a passerby, and i'm doing about 6mph! Strangely, it really irritated me, and I had to bite my tongue.
