  1. The Bosch link is seriously outdated unfortunately....maxtrack and 50 cycles as BH dealers, and OnBike at the old address....and no Bosch service centres showing in the UK
  2. [quote Maybe better to buy from a dealer who is also a Bosch/Yamaha service centre like: http://www.onbike.co.uk/electric-bikes-category/haibike-electric-bikes "Haibike are the market leader in performance Electric Bikes. Haibike are designed and made in Germany with many types of E-Bikes available like ladies & gents Hybrid Bikes right up to Downhill full suspension mountain bikes. They are two different Motor options one made by Bosch and the other made by Yamaha. These systems all come with a Two year warranty. We are one of the only service centers in the UK for Bosch & Yamaha so you know when you buy your Haibike from us you will have peace of mind. We have many Demo Haibikes so you can try before you buy."]

  4. Lol...that sounds ominous Rob, should I be worried?
  5. You're right Rob, there's a lot of deep sand/shallow root areas in the woods around me due to the sandstone erosion...lots of cool sandstone houses too. -I took a bad picture of Holly Austin Rock, which has a newly refurbed lived-in Sandstone house.
  6. I'm afraid so..I actually bought my first smartphone in December specifically for the Sports Tracker/Strava...and to read books on and take pics. The 2 can be used at the sametime Eddie, no problem.....quite good, as you can see the discrepancies between the Bike, Strava and Sports Trackers stats.
  7. It didn't feel very flat to be honest Mike...I did push it up into TOUR on several occasions, and even full power on one short sharp hill into Highley-definitely enjoyed the offroad sections more than the road sections today as it got me out of the wind for a while.
  8. Had an enjoyable, windy ride out today: http://www.sports-tracker.com/workout/martinbutterfield/54d8c7a3e4b0d70a47e39b71 http://www.strava.com/activities/252570789
  9. Crikey Eddie...sensibly well equipped, but what does the weight come to? I carry a mobile, whistle, short razor edged knife, surgical gloves, mini box of Scabs, spare chain link, £10 note, tyre levers, multi tool and a mini pump. These all go in a small triangle bag under the crossbar and weigh more than i'd like.

Lol...My Wife and eldest Son love it too. I pretend to dislike it, but end up getting sucked in if i'm in the room, usually watching over the top of my book.
  11. Not available until March/April...but the KTM Amparo would definitely do a good job. http://www.onbike.co.uk/products/ktm-amparo/ Tried and tested Panasonic technology, large Battery and very comfy-worth a look.
  12. Hi Cwah, How about just using a backpack that can take a laptop? Less weight and trouble than attaching the bag to the bike.

  14. Lol...i've been carrying a stick....will have to invest in a tent peg!
  15. Of course Mike! Hopefully the service will be even better than ever, with free coffee and a Chesterfield to sit and ruminate on:)
  16. Thanks Martin, it was nice to meet you too, though I definitely drank too much!
  17. Thanks Gary...you'll be able to do the timed run more often
  18. Thanks everyone....been a stressful time, but it was well worth the effort!
  19. We’ve moved to Worcester, and have a brand new dedicated Electric Bike shop with more choice than ever! After over 6 years of very happy times in Hartlebury near Kidderminster, we’ve really outgrown our current location and have taken the decision to relocate to larger premises in Worcester! OnBike has a new electric bike shop on the main arterial road (A449) into Worcester in Upper Tything, and will open to the public at 10.30am on Wednesday 10th December. We now have examples of all the best Crank motors available which include Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano and 4th Generation Panasonic. See the full story HERE

  21. You don't need to spend that much.... Come over to Onbike and test ride about 20 different bikes and decide for yourself which is best.
  22. They had it, but it was less...Intuitive.The original Bosch display was more MTB friendly I guess.I actually quite liked it, but it was far too fiddly on the buttons. Removed with a twist, and easily slipped into a pocket too- much less invasive on the handlebars.
