May 7, 20169 yr I totally agree but you all must have missed thread on "Badass Dongle". The one with Soubdwaves now infamous canal run, and new poster out running cars, getting max speed approaching 40mph .. If you are so sick if it why not tell them ..its threads and posts like that which will do damage..( he came on here to find out where to buy one) Read it. Its scary. I sense that if you ignore them there will probably be far fewer of them.
May 7, 20169 yr I sense that if you ignore them there will probably be far fewer of them. I partly agree with that. Trouble is folk do turn to this Forun as to where to go to buy them. That really should stop. There are reasons to think this forum is more damaging to pedelec use than actually not having it. Perhaps we should try self policing, ie if we failed to respond to requests for help in making pedelecs illegal and asked those that do not to. Read the "Badass Dongle" thread and decide yourself if that's right. There are plenty of other examples. Its quite ironic that my posts and to a lesser degree Morphix get the " shut the F up" , and similar and worse, and all the yawns etc etc but the actually damaging posts/ threads attract no insults whatsoever ?? Are folk actually condoning and supporting illegal behaviour that will result in changes to all our detriment.??? Would posters criticizing us actually advise folk how to make bikes illegal ??? I don't think they would. Edited May 7, 20169 yr by (NoLongerRegistered#15675)
May 7, 20169 yr I totally agree but you all must have missed thread on "Badass Dongle".( In technical ) The one with Soubdwaves now infamous canal run, and new poster out running cars, getting max speed approaching 40mph .. If you are so sick if it why not tell them ..its threads and posts like that which will do damage..( he came on here to find out where to buy one) Read it. Its scary. You really are moaning at the wrong folk. And the comment about this being a pedelec Forum is spot on. Dongles are on motorbikes. You're getting really boring.... you constantly spew the same crap over and over and over again. You've made your point, repeating it ad nauseum just pisses people off. People always talk about S pedelecs, dongles & the like on here... get used to it.
May 7, 20169 yr I,m afraid this Forum is no longer a Pedelec forum. Have you not noticed that you're posting in a sub forum headed up SPEED PEDELECS? Please try and stop re-inventing the wheel. The forum managed to get along before you arrived on 9 March this year. Just give it a rest.
May 7, 20169 yr flud you old fart stop moaning if never had a dongle and went out with my m8s id might as well not bother. on the flat can go 20mph plus on a fs bike and keep it there and down hill can hit 60mph on his full dh bike. if you dont want to go faster than 15mph then why did you get a mtb in the first place?
May 7, 20169 yr Sorry SW, there must be some reasoned point in there somewhere, afraid its lost on me.
May 8, 20169 yr A woman ended up dead in one in a head-on collision with a car, at not excessive speed. The article does not come up for me but, if it was a head on collision would not the impact speed be a lot faster than the Gwizz speed alone ie 30 mph plus 30 mph = 60 mph collision?
May 8, 20169 yr I was wondering what all the fuss is about so I looked up the microcar in question - in France these are limited to 45 kmh the same top speed as an s-pedelec. When they get in crashes it is messy I think I posted about one where a family of four died in a road accident in a Microcar or other Axam? The twizy has been crash tested to hell because there is an 85 km/h version. As a result it is very overweight and under performing (range not speed). Oh yeah the Renault F1 boys have built a special version of the twizy that would get the anti dongle brigades knickers in a right twist...
May 8, 20169 yr How ironic that the owner of a Sinclair C5 should be worried about other peoples safety.

I,m afraid I,ve no intention of giving it a rest. There are many others on here doing far more damage to pedelecs than my rants could ever do. Perhaps your posts should be aimed at them ?? If you are bored with it ,why read thread ? Going back on topic, the testers would not allow good crash test dummies in cars mentioned. They used older , cheaper dummies. They didn't want the good ones damaged ???!!!

The first sentence is is part correct about dongles, but not anti dongles like you and Morphix. If you keep preaching at any given opportunity the only harm you will be doing is you will lose all credibility if you have not done so already. And as to use a persons death for your crusade is absolutely disgusting and it makes you worse than the members on here that do use dongles.

I don't think anyone used the ladies death to do anything else than point out is does happen and if it happened involving a bike with a dongle or an illegal one the consequences could be catostrophic. As to loosing credibility, fair point, but I suspect only with those missing the point. There are a growing number taking a similar stance. Edited May 8, 20169 yr by (NoLongerRegistered#15675)
May 8, 20169 yr Flud There is a time and place for everything. This is a place for illegal gear. Leave them alone and stop causing a fuss please. I think they are wrong but making a big issue only draws attention. Yes remind them the risk they take once but then leave it alone please. I don't like all the aggro going on. It's not required.

May 8, 20169 yr Are the two mutually exclusive Artstu??? Don't get your point . Are you really that stupid, or do you just like acting dumb when it suits. I'm deleting this forum from my favourites, because you and Morphix seem intent on ruining it anyway.
May 8, 20169 yr The fact is, humans are stubborn creatures. Take for example the issue with using mobile phones whilst driving a vehicle on the road. The law was introduced well over a decade ago, but as this article suggests, the problem still exists, resulting in unnecessary deaths each year: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2968776/More-500-000-motorists-driving-using-mobile-phones-numbers-increasing.html We can educate, we can introduce laws, we can persecute and we can moan and complain until the cows come home. Unfortunately it changes very little, apart from divide what was one of the best communities on the internet.
