The problem is that we have no means of knowing how valid these results are do we? or even whether they will remain so.

The propaganda war that inflamed the figures had a setback at the last GE and could easily be derailed by events, remember these attitudes are not based on FACTS but on FEELINGS.

Nevertheless the Prognosis is unchanged, Brexit is inevitable and inevitably will be disastrous socially, and in all probabilty Financially as well.

I am not feeling the "powers" of the EU, must be protected from them with my tinfoil hat. I now have the "power" to cross a national border and buy stuff with the same money I use at home. And as a migrant who has been here for a while can now have a resident card which lets me live on either side of that national border if I so choose. Before I had to show my passport, and worse! In theory as a NZ citizen I used to need a visa for Spain - many times I crossed the frontier as a clandestine - don't tell my mum...

Post Brexit, the UK will have an abundance of EU consulates, since the embassies of each EU member state is defacto an EU consulates. What possible service to the EU would result in creating more and within what is a medium sized country?

Anyway it would not be within his power to so do. He has been tasked with representing the views of the remaining EU states, try to formulate these into a coherent policy and discuss these with the UK representatives. Afterwards he will be expected to report on these to the EU parliment, who will ratify them.

To date he is flustrated because of the incoherence of a UK position on anything.

That the UK position is incoherent is understandable, but basically unacceptable.

Not sure whether it was a typo but that word 'flustated' is brilliant a combination of flustered and unstated,says a lot about the UK governments current position and Barnier's attitude to it.

The government has another 'Baldrick' bright idea....give preference to young EU workers post Brexit. Ok I can see that under 30 year old immigrants are less likely to get ill and drain the NHS,they are also likely to be fit to work on the farms and in the NHS....but they are also the age to have kids,kids need midwives and go to school,wasn't one of the criticism by Brexiters that immigrants place pressure on school places???

Surely we should control immigration to those that have work here,irrespective of age.

Usual arrogant government attitude ,it assumes EU people are desperate to come to the UK,the £ doesn't buy many Euros these days and likely to get weaker.....their own countries are getting stronger,Poland is in a building boom at the moment....we may have to give them some goodies to attract them.

Correction they are aware of it, because they have been told, but even that is only partly true, as even today one Paper gave a different figure to the other, and cried "We won't pay!" the Brexit voters haven't agreed to it surely?
