I'm afraid it's all packed away ready to be returned.

Are you serious?

Whose even going to accept an ebike battery to China in the first place, hazardous goods and all that .... and have you got a quote?

I asked for a photo as the case maybe a common one then your best bet would be to send it to Insat in London where they could change the case over possibly.

I`d still go for the rattle can or if you`re that particular an auto paint shop for a pro finish.

I do hope you are declaring that it is a Li-ion battery pack and sending it by an approved means. If not, there is a very good chance it will be stopped at our customs, destroyed and you could well be prosecuted. As you have prob. realized Aliexpress is not Ebay with comsumer rights etc. It's always a bit of a gamble to save some money. Swallow yer pride and move on.

If OP has goa exactly the same shape/size of battery then easiest option is to swap cases over. Carefully slide/take internals out and re-insert.

Buying from Wisper would have been easier although maybe more expensive, the cells we know will be genuine and of good quality as we hear of 5/6 year old batteries still going strong.

Would be nice to have a link to the Aliex item purchased.

I use DHL to send stuff back to China but not batteries. I flatten them and take them to the recycling centre.

Can we do that with forum members.? Either option.

Recycling centres have a certain standard of garbage which they would accept,

so that would be a NO then...

unfortunately.

China has stopped taking our low grade scrap! :D

You'd be surprised what a couple of packets of chocolate digestives can get you in a recycling centre.;)

Woah, you got a steam roller?

Probably uses a very big hammer. Kills two birds with one stone, flattens the batteries and gets rid of frustrations! :D

No David the two pins on the bottom are slightly out but you could easily adapt the bottom of the battery case as it comes with two plastic plates and a spare male plug lead if yours doesn't fit, but I think the wisper connections will fit straight in .
I'd stick the battery on and just ride the bike, and put a smile on your face, life is just to short to stress about the colour.
How did you manage to use Paypal on Aliexpress? I didnt think the site accepted Paypal.

Thanks that the reason I've never used it before may have to start looking now

Don't use aliexpress,s buyer protection it's not worth a dam!

I have to disagree. I've spent over £15,000 on AliExpress over the past year and have had an issue with 5 transactions - maybe £500 worth of purchases. For each case opened, I have been given at least an equal level of protection as I would receive from Ebay and have not been left out of pocket. All payments were made using AliPay.

pistolpete, we are all still waiting for a link to the battery you purchased as this would be very useful to the forum members. Aliexpress is an extremely useful resource for all sorts of stuff that is either unavailable or over-priced here in the UK, so before you start putting people off using it, maybe you could make us aware of the ONE seller you are having trouble with. Go to my orders on Ali, click on the battery you bought, right click and copy the web page address and then right click and paste onto your next post. Simples:)

Thanks Pete, I am interested in contacting them for an alternative battery case, hence my questions. We have a problem with our battery case tool and it's going to cost quite a few quid to repair so I am looking for a case that will fit.

All the best, David

Yes David, I noted you were asking and it's information that would benefit anyone on the forum looking for the same. I can't help thinking the OP is pi**ed off and angry and sees the forum as a place to let off steam without a thought for anyone else. I appreciate your status as a trade member with certain CS standards to maintain in your posts, I fortunately do not.;)
